For Ted Thompson and the Packers orginization the nightmare would be Brett Favre goes to a different team and performs well and the team has success, while Aaron Rodgers performs poorly, and the Packers struggle.

For fans, the nightmare is as simple as Brett Favre playing for the villianous Minn Vikings.

But what is the nightmare scenario for Brett Favre? Is it getting injured? Performing poorly? I honestly can't think of a down side from his perspective-Does that give him an advantage in this situation?

After throwing the whole state into turmoil, he forces the Pack to put him in as the starter, he throws four interceptions and fumbles twice against the Vikings week one, and the Vikings win by three touchdowns.

How's THAT for a nightmare?

Nightmare scenarios would be him leaving to a team and winning a championship w/ someone else. Rodgers getting injured or him not performing like you all thought. He gets replaced and Brohm struggles also. Your team fighting among themselves and pointing fingers through out the season. Aaron not able to fill in Favre's shoes and gets hated by Green Bay because of the Favre situation. Then your GM gets blamed and they ask him to resign.

Nightmare for Brett, would be coming back and getting injured. Playing for a team that doesn't reach .500
He retires after that year and his legacy is tarnished with the league, fans, and the city.

Yeah, that would be a nightmare. I didn't think of that.
Or what if poor performance led to being benched for Aaron Rodgers? And then Aaron Rodgers has success.
Does this mean there's little chance he would come back to GB even if Ted Thompson changed his stance?
