Do you think he could be a good fit for houston?
He could start at sg and be that "third option" the rockets need. he could help the rockets with his outside shooting.

i was thinking maybe:
Luither Head or Steve Francis and Bobby Jackson For Jamal Crawford

then rockets line-up would be

pg rafer alston
sg jamal crawford
sf tracy mcgrady
pf shane battier
c yao ming

lol, no way we would give up Scola for Crawford, its not a matter of value or anything its just Scola has been such a huge boost to this team and we dont need that much help at the SG position and we cant afford to lose Scola right now with Landry's situation in the dark

hell be good because he can score many ways. he can shoot drive and get to the line. I wouldn't give up any starter for him though. something like head jackson and some picks.

agreed, i would move our expiring contracts and that future pick for him, NYK would love this deal cuz theyd be getting rid of a BUNCH of cap space for next year and picks never hurt, but do we really need another guard? We already got T-Mac and Brent

true they did just sign barry but hes getting up their in age and crawford might just be that young offensive spark the rockets need. and t-mac also plays small forward

Do this trade, along with one or two future draft picks:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2763~376~165&teams=18~18~10&te=&cash=

Lineup:
PG: Alston/Brooks
SG: Crawford/Barry
SF: Mcgrady/Battier/Greene
PF: Scola/Landry/Greene
C: Yao/Deke/Dorsey
Reserves:
Francis
Novak
Harris

However, I doubt Knicks do this trade because D'Antoni likes Crawford in his system, but they might do it for the cap space (both contracts expiring) and a few more draft picks. Also Houston gets its third scorer and improves its bench with Battier being the sixth man.

i would have mcgrady start at SG and battier at SF, then have crawford off the bench, so that mcgrady can rest a bit

id rather start crawford, move t mac to sf because crawford has potenitial and could help the team out more starting rather than coming off the bench. and t mac could still get more rest by letting battier come off the bench at sf

theyd be willing to trade jamal if it free'd up cap. (which it does) for lebron in2010 and getting draft picks could help sway their decision also

Knicks want more than just cap space. We want talent in return. We turned down Zach Randolph to the Clippers for a second round pick in a salary dump because Walsh wants more. So expirings dont work in this case.

^^ the picks supply the talent and jackson is a good, solid veteran. We can throw in head or novack, who are 3-point specialists

Oh picks are included. I didnt know that cause all I saw was two expiring contracts in the trade. Well, with picks (as in more than one) you guys might be able to get Crawford.

If the Rockets did that deal, Crawford would be the 6th man not a starter.

Agreed

It would be better like this:

Alston/Brooks/Francis
T-Mac/Crawford
Battier/Brent/Donte
Scola/Landry/Novak
Yao/Deke/Dorsey

the knicks dont care right now about winning they just want to clear some cap space and get prospect/draft picks to be ready for FA in 2010. Rumor as almsot all of u have heard is to get lebron with maybe even Bosh

Why would they go for that trade? crawford was NYK's best player last year. We'd have more luck trading Hayes for Melo.

Actually I could see Crawford in a Ginobli role....moreso than him starting....

I wouldnt mind having Crawford....I think we could have a shot

I was wondering what you all would think of this deal:

Jamaal Crawford

For

Bobby Jackson
Steve Francise
Luther Head
Future pick

All 3 of those contracts are expiring, so you get cap space, a 3 point shooter and a future pick

Knicks want to get under the cap. To start off, I disagree with it. But, I don't see that type of trade happening. Knicks want to get rid of contracts of Zach, Jeffries, James and then Crawford. If knicks trade Crawford, they would want another quality guard back in return. Knicks first plan is to get rid of Zach. I disagree with it, but that's the knicks brass. The only way I see knicks trading Jamal if you guys take on Zach's contract and we take back McGrady.

Even though Steve is an expiring..I don't think knicks want anything to do with him. They can release him though, but just the thought of him being name in any knick trade will be a bad 'PR' move.

Zach Randolph, Jamal Crawford for Tracy McGrady

Knicks said they wouldnt mind moving him and they want expiring contracts so maybe this could be our minor trade.
