When he went back to the Rockets, I thought for sure they would have a "Big Three" of sorts (Yao, TMAC, and Stevie Franchise). Was I DEAD wrong. Do you guys think he'll ever play a role for the Rockets next season; or for any other team?

While I would love to see a resurgent Steve Francis I dont think it would happen. Who'd a guessed that Cuttino Mobley has had the better NBA career so far?

I still think he has some fire left in him but his ego is just too great. He had that time period where he thought he was too good and didnt have to work on his game.

His dunks through the middle were the sickest highlights in the NBA.
As much as i would like for him to come back, he probably wont but if he does, Rockets would have such a sick team

Its just weird how he just totally went down the train. I doubt he ever comes back, but like stated above, if he does, man oh man the Rockets will be loaded.

I wish Steve would get that chip on his shoulder he had before he went to Maryland, when he had to go play Ju-Co ball down in texas. Get hungry again. Him and Steph c'mon the game NEEDS you.

I think initially I thought the same. I thought he would be that 3rd scorer that the Rockets needed, however Adelman didn't seem to want to play him, just like Van Gundy didn't want to play the guy who I thought was needed in '06-07 in Bonzi.

Idk don't think he'll have a significant role with any organization, but he might get a role playing job with a play-off contender this or next year

Stevie could take anyone to the hole unfortunately he never had a jumpshot, never knew how to run a team, and didn't defend. Now that his springs are failing him he should retire b/c he doesn't belong

He only played in 10 games last season. He was hurt most of last season and is only getting older. His good days are over but could probably still contribute off the bench for sure.

Remember the trade tmac for franchise ?? For a while, Franchise was top 10 in the NBA... IDK how someones career goes down the drain.. he'll get his **** together... but not with Houston...

If he's gonna get his **** together anywhere, it will be with Houston. He chose to go back to Houston because he loves the city and wants to be a part of the team again. Once he got traded, his attitude changed and I think that messed him up. No one is going to start him, including the Rockets because he's too old to even compare to how he was in his prime, and hasn't played enough lately to be consistantly good anymore like he used to be. He's a bench player at most.

Yeah, he and Steph are big disappointments. I think they both feel that they are the best, but I believe they lack that internal drive to develop their games in the offseason. They will be the next in line to follow championship teams in role playing positions in hopes of getting a ring before they retire.

He will be back unless he gets traded or released. He's signed for another year.

it all started when he got traded to the knicks. all the knicks do is turn an all-star player into a washed up scrub who should retire. he was benched for no reason and got no minutes.

If they give him significant minutes again, I'm sure he could be a good player, but I definitley don't see that happening with the Rockets.

Man I remember the standing ovation he got when he played in his first game back as a Rocket and all those "WE WANT STEVE" chants; if he got more of those I think that'll energize him to make a comeback and quite possibly take the starting job from Skip To My Lou.
