Jose Reyes is the first player in major league history to have 20 doubles, 10 triples, 10 homeruns, and 30 stolen bases while hitting .300 before the all star break and didnt make the all star game.

what do you think? biggest snub of the all- star game?

Maybe the biggest snub, since he's so much better than Tejada. But Burrell is right up there too. As is every AL catcher that didn't make it, since they all should made it over Jason Varitek.

Snubalicious, this year seemed really bad with snubs.

No way Wagner should be an All-Star and he is, so......

Im trying to figure out how Marmol was Woods replacement over Hamels or Santana. Reyes was a bigtime snub along with Burrell and to a lesser extent Howard even though he didnt heat up unti the last month.

i think reyes not making the all star game is a good thing, i think it will force and motivate him to put up even better numbers this year and in 2009

Honestly, who cares?

The All Star Game is a joke. It's hilarious to see people get so worked up when their players don't make it.

well the problem is the all star game decides home field advantage in the world series. it might seem like a joke, but in reality is should be taken more seriously.

But it's not taken more seriously, so it's a joke. When guys like Ken Griffey Jr. and Jason Varitek are getting to participate in the ASG while many other better choices are getting snubbed, it's a joke. The game has a good meaning (Home field), but that doesn't change the fact that things are done so incorrectly as far as voting goes.

i agree, but in my case, its about wanting the best players in there, not "my" players. however there are cases where "my" player is better than what was selected. the real joke is however the **** the selection works.

If he needs that to motivate him, he's in the wrong business.

hence my point of how it should be taking more seriously

He should of made it and he didn't. It sucks but theres not much you can do about it. A lot of good players didn't make it. I just hope he keeps mashing and brings his team into some October baseball.

Eh I wouldn't really mind if I were a mets fan. HanRam is obviously better so he wouldn't be starting. Let him get some rest and come back for a huge 2nd half.

His paycheck cares though(some players get payed a bonus when they make the ASG).
