Would we have beat Jazz if they were all 100%

No question about it. I think you would have been in the finals and taken the Celtics 7 games.

Depends on how Yao defends Boozer or Okur

This year our strongest spot was at the 2 but the 3 spot was lagging, mostly due to Battiers injury. The bigs spots were decent and did an adequate job and more than filled their role but the PG situation was a disaster.

PER Differential
---2008 -- 2007
PG -9.3 -- -5.8
SG +3.1 -- +3.0
SF +0.7 -- +3.5
PF -1.3 -- -14.1
-C +2.0 -- +7.0

We were brutally beaten down at our 2 greatest weaknesses, Hayes did a MUCH better job at defending Boozer but Deron was better this year and totally beat up on the injured PG rotation. It all depends on Yao's defense, but if Rafer were healthy you got to figure he wouldve put up more a fight and we wouldnt have lost the PG position as badly. But in both years they had the much more talented team.

You knew we had an unlucky play-offs when you saw that Scola was basically our only healthy starter against the Jazz.

I expect good things for Scola this year. He averaged 14 points and 9 boards against the Jazz in the play-offs. If he gets around 30 mins a game and continues to play tough and averages those numbers we will be one tough team to beat.

yeah, "if healthy?" has been the same question ever since yao and tracy were both with the rockets. But if both are healthy, then yeah were an excellent team and would be hard to beat.
