Steelers signed sixth-round LB Mike Humpal to a three-year contract. The deal includes a $71,600 signing bonus.

Humpal played collegiately at Iowa, where he was a playmaker and finished fifth in the Big Ten in tackles as a senior. He'll be a substitute inside 'backer in Pittsburgh's 3-4 and attempt to upgrade the club's porous special teams.

Good that we're starting to get all of our guys in now. The Steelers are looking to put this kid in the special teams squad, which needs all the help it can get. He was a pretty good player in college, so maybe he can make an impact on the ST's.

I love the Humpal pick. He seems like a guy who isn't all that physically gifted, but will work hard to become better. I can see him in the Black and Gold for a long time.

Speaking of special teams it seems like alot of the moves we made were to boost up SP's of amatter of fact it seem like we have too many special teamers we also have alot of O lineman
