I think they are to young to go to the "playos" still Portland Denver and Utah are above them in the division alone. maybe in a year or two they will be "playo" bound.

Haha Brewer is a 6'9" SF/PF. And he's not exactly what you'd call a point forward.

C-Jefferson

32 wins maybe. They have some young prospects and Al Jefferson can play, they need to add a point guard.

Tom Stone
07-12-2008, 07:35 PM
They really need to find a point gaurd... a pass first point gaurd...if that young team is going to do anything this year they need a general....I suggest rafer alston...he is way better than people give him credit for....he's got a love for the game that can only be measured by kevin garnett and me.....peace

I think the chance to lose Antoine Walker AND Marko Jaric was too enticing. The Twolves are built to do very well in say the year 2010 or 2011. $$ + tons of first round picks.

Wow Brewer at point that just shows how stupid u are. Brewer is a SF. They have a solid bench. they lost a lot of their games in the 4th quarter due to a *****ty bench aka Jaric. They aquired Rodney Carney who could be a decent player. Also next year they have 3 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks so I think now they will be under .500 but next year or 2010 they will be a playoff team/contender

C-Jefferson
PF-Love
SF-Brewer
SG-Miller
PG-Foye

Bench-McCants,Gomes, Telfair, Carney, Collins, Booth, Smith

add 3 1st round picks and two second round picks that is FORMIDABLE in 2010

about 28-35 wins for the twolves
thats pretty good and I dnt agree with corey brewer playing the point
Love and Jefferson could be the next twin towers but
i got ma eyes on Lamarcus aldrigde and Greg Oden.

PG- RANDY FOYE(SCORER) / TELFAIR
SG- MIKE MILLER/ RASHAD McCANTS
SF- COREY BREWER/ ?
PF -KEVIN LOVE
C-AL JEFFERSON ( HE DOES NOT LIKE THE 5)

GOOD LUCK TWOLVES

I dont think we'll re-sign Telfair unless its a 2 year for less than 3 million/year

Pooh Jeter is who we should put in behind foye... thats just my call

we'll be flirting with .500 the whole year, but we are better than ppl think

t-wolves never should have traded O.J. Mayo...they'll regret this for years...similar to trading brandon roy for randy foye

IndiansFan337
07-19-2008, 02:00 PM
They won't come close to .500 in the West.

They'll be lucky to win 32+ games this year. There wing players & G's suck, aside from Mike Miller. And if he gets hurt like he did last year then they will be in big trouble once again.

When you have Marko Jaric and/or Sebastian Telfair playing major minutes then you know your team in in trouble at those positions.

Foye, McCants, Telfair, they all played well last year. there not the best guards bu they dont suck

C-Jefferson/Doleac
PF-Love/C.Smith
SF-Brewer/Carney/Gomes(F.A)
SG-M.Miller/McCants
PG-Foye/Telfair

i dont think they make the playoffs..the west has many teams in position to take the top 8 seeds. But next year with 3 first rounders the t'wolves may be back into the playoffs.

I think they'll be better than last year, but they're still a year or two away from the playoffs. I'm guessing their line up with look something like this.
C: Al Jefferson/Chris Richard/Mark Madsen
PF: Kevin Love/Craig Smith
SF: Ryan Gomes/Corey Brewer/Rodney Carney
SG: Mike Miller/Rashad McCants
PG: Randy Foye/Sebastian Telfair

They've got a lot of young pieces, and Miller is a nice addition. Love has looked good in Summer League, which you can take how you want, as it is just summer league. Foye is a pretty decent combo guard, and bassy is a underrated. McCants is great offense off the bench, and gomes can now go back to his more normal spot at the 3 which allows brewer to come off the bench and concentrate more on his strength, in defense. Craig Smith is also a solid bench guy, and he'll continue to produce in his role. I think Al Jefferson and Love will work well together, cause Love is a worker and he'll be cleaning boards and getting putbacks and the like.

I see them being decent, probably not quite like the raptors of two years ago, but i think they could surprise some teams. They won't make the playoffs, and they probably won't win 40 games, but I think they'll compete much more than they did last year.

This isn't a Love-Mayo trade thread, the Wolves made the right move (Mayo is similar to McCants and Foye)
Foye
Miller
Brewer
Love
Jefferson

McCants
Gomes
Telfair
Smith
Carney

38 wins

Like Hollinger said, if they can stay in the high teens in defensive efficiancy, they will contend for the playoffs thru the bulk of the season. Problem is, as Portland fans know, young, inexperienced teams cave down the stretch, because the vet teams become stronger, while the young teams fade due to the pressure they have never encountered. I think midway thru the season, they will be the 8-9 seed, then finish 10th in the west

Under .500, but they have a lot of young talent, which may bode well for the future.
