I hope you're talkin about Madsen and not James White. White has dummy hops. He clowned the college dunk contest out the year he came out.

That's great. What did he do after he realized he couldn't make it in the league?

Shawn Kemp was the first finesse power dunker of my era...If by elegant you mean "finesse like"...Def Kemp.

This guy clearly emulates Jordan, Kemp, Vince, Etc.

Matter of fact this guy aint touching Kemp on the "elegant" (stupid usage of the word for this thread, no offense) tip. Kemp was def my favorite dunker of all time, hands down.

None taken. I guess what I mean is how MJ and this guy has so much hangtime, they are able to make their dunks look so effortless and artistic. I know there are a ton of dunkers who structure their style around MJs, but this dude really reminded me of MJ. Got me feeling a little nostalgic too. Never felt this way about any other high flyer.

How could a player so athletically gifted as him not make it in the NBA? He is seriously one of the best dunkers I have ever seen.

720 my ***, that's a 540 and nothing more than that.

With that said, that was absolutely disgusting. But, not a damn 720.

It takes a lot more than hops to be successful in the NBA bro, where 60 of the 6,000,000,000 people in the world get chosen to play every year.

And only about 10-15 of those end of doing anything in the NBA.

James White = Dunk Only Player.

I don't really respect people who just ONLY dunk. Kind of boring and shows no versatility.

See "Gerald Green".

If T-Mac, Kobe, MJ, and LeBron just only did dunks, they would be pretty boring and get no where in the NBA.

If your going off pure elegance, I think it has to be Clyde Drexler. When he elevated and dunked it looked so effortless.

Sick dunks..........but I still prefer "in-game" dunkers like Kobe, Tmac, Wade, and VC.

Doesn't get much better than this:

Kemp wasn't an elegant dunker and neither is/was Vince Carter. Ray Allen in Milwaukee was an "elegant" dunker. All his dunks were smooth. Clyde was an elegant dunker. Kemp used to **** on dudes. His two most famous dunks ended w/ him taunting a dude and shakin another ones hand. Vince has been about power and ferocity since day one. That's not elegance.

a dunker can be powerful and elegant imo...vinces dunks are just so smooth...i consider that to be equivilant to eligant...maybe its just me tho..

I agree the old VC was the best dunker to watch in history. Lebron has a good package of dunks but all he seems to do now in games is power dunk
