REALLY this guy will help us very much in the 09-10 season AND IN THE LONG RUN. BUT i sort of compare him as a better or equal to azubuike OR MAGGETTE. WHAT DO U THINK ABOUT HIM

Based on what? Did you just go look at the summer league roster and just all of a sudden decide that hes going to be like MAggette or Azubuike? First of all I don't even think Nelson is a scorer. He would have to play PG if he wants to play in out team. What do you know about him to make you think he wuold be equal to those guys?

Nelson is only 6'4'' of course he's a point guard, Im a huge Duke hater, being a UNC Fan, but I was impressed with Nelson this season, dudes a stud, I secretly cheered when Nelson got picked up by G.S. the dude can defend and who needs a scorer when we got Monta, Randolph, Jackson, & Maggette he can pass the ball to and they can score. He gets steals, he is a very smart defender, and he can occasionally score, Id be pumped if he makes the team.

how do you figure? he played point at duke?

he really isnt. he could be a great defender, hit the three if he gets a better shot but he doesnt have all the other skills to play point in the nba. he can proably play it for certain points of a game.

could be one of the last players to make the roster, if he is lucky and plays the great defence and passes the ball like you people are saying he can do.
i personally dont see him making the roster, but if he does then good luck to him. if he ends up being anything close to what azabuke is now then it woul dbe a pleasent surprise

he was a shooting guard. paulus was the point for duke. but to be fair, he does have good vision on the court and like tmac says...he can probably play it at certain points of the game. he needs to work on his handles. at 6'4, he's more of an off-guard...so he can play 1 or the 2...but mainly at the 2.

if you want to know more about him...he's known to be a lockdown defender and is very athletic. he can score inside, as well as adding a 3-point shot to his arsenal. even though he's 6'4, he's real strong so he can score well inside as well as guard stronger players. there's a lot to like about nelson. but i don't think he is an adequate backup to monta at the point. he'd play more of an azubuike kind of role.
