Game 1

Friday, July 11 - 7:05 ET

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_453329.jpg-------http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_434638.jpg

BOS: RHP Clay Buchholz (2-3, 5.53) (http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/buchhcl01.shtml) vs BAL: RHP Brian Burres (6-5, 5.07) (http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/burrebr01.shtml)

Red Sox: Buchholz has spent the past two months at Triple-A Pawtucket after a stint on the disabled list with a blister on his throwing hand turned into a Minor League assignment to work on his mechanics. He'll take Justin Masterson's spot in the rotation for a start against the Orioles and will look to find the success he enjoyed in 2007, his first season in the Majors. Buchholz was 4-2 with a 2.47 ERA with the PawSox.

Orioles: Burres is coming off his third straight start where he was unable to get past the sixth inning, allowing three runs off nine hits over 5 2/3 innings against the Rangers on July 5. The left-hander did not seem to have good control early as he allowed the first two of those three earned runs in the first and second innings and eight of the first nine outs were fly balls, many of them deep into the outfield. Burres has pitched markedly better on the road this season with a 3.98 ERA than when pitching at home where he has a 6.18 ERA. His last outing in Boston, however, was not one to remember as he pitched just four innings allowing seven earned runs off 12 hits.

Game 2

Saturday, July 12 - 7:05 ET

BOS: RHP Tim Wakefield (5-6, 3.75) (http://www.baseball-reference.com/w/wakefti01.shtml) vs BAL: RHP Radhames Liz (3-1, 5.94) (http://www.baseball-reference.com/l/lizra01.shtml)

Red Sox: Wakefield limited the Yankees to four hits Sunday night, but came away with the no-decision. He gave up just just three earned runs -- including a solo home run to Alex Rodriguez -- through 6 1/3 innings to give Boston a chance to win. The knuckleball proved effective for five strikeouts, and Wakefield walked only one batter. The right-hander has not allowed more than three earned runs in any start since May 23 at Oakland.

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_123801.jpg

Orioles: Liz is coming off his second shortest outing of the season, an 11-10 loss to the Rangers where he lasted just 3 2/3 innings and allowed six runs on seven hits and five walks. Liz struggled with his location and his control in his short start, throwing two wild pitches and missing his spot on a three-run homer to Rangers right fielder David Murphy. The loss, however, was Liz's first at the Major League level this season.

Game 3

Sunday, July 13 - 1:35 ET

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_493137.jpg-------http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_425555.jpg

BOS: RHP Daisuke Matsuzaka (9-1, 2.84) (http://www.baseball-reference.com/m/matsuda01.shtml) vs BAL: RHP Daniel Cabrera (6-4, 4.40) (http://www.baseball-reference.com/c/cabreda01.shtml)

Red Sox: Matsuzaka was excellent in his last start, against the Twins, blanking Minnesota through 7 1/3 innings. He scattered six hits and struck out five in his first outing of at least seven innings since May 10 -- also against the Twins. He's allowed just one run in his last three outings since his one-inning, seven-run loss against St. Louis on June 21.

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_493137.jpg

Orioles: Cabrera rebounded from a disastrous June to post two solid starts in his last two outings and will look to finish the first half on a strong note against the Red Sox. The right-hander has traditionally had a hard time against Boston, notching a 2-9 record and a 7.11 ERA against the Sox. This year, he's 1-0 with a 5.21 ERA in three starts against Boston.

He'll dominate.

At home, so he should feel comfortable getting some runs. Against the O's, a team that isn't too special.

It's a far better situation than throwing him out there against a better team like the Rays, Yanks, or Angels.

Hes looking nervous, his fastball as way to much of the middle of the plate.

And hes missing his offspeed stuff to high, rough first inning. Hopefully he settles down.

Terry is goin to get thrown out for that ridiculous call.

I didn't think Clay's outing would last long. It's alright though he'll be better next start. We SHOULD win this game, as lnog as the bullpen holds up. I really hope Pedroia gets a hit.

I've never been "happy" to see a player get injured, but I have to say I got a bit excited to think we could see Lowrie...

Great to see the offense explode like this. With the Rays down 7 early, we should pick up a game.

Well, both of the last two seasons he was a VERY good hitter, until he really hit the skids and slowed up in the second half (Probably because he's such a gamer, always playing through the minor pains that eventually add up). Though, the power is a great addition to his bat.

I know that, however Youk isn`t showing signs of pain this year, he looks pretty healthy and he is on pace to hit 25 HR and 100 RBIs, that is why im so high on him this year
I hope he can keep this numbers in the future to help our team to repeat this year

Dice-K needs to grow some juevos and throw the ball over the plate. I don't think his walk problems are entirely because he can't locate, I think most of the time he choses not to, and tries to throw the perfect pitch every time. Instead of going after guys, he tries to make everyone swing and miss. He's too cute of a pitcher.

Got out of a big jamb here...due to two walks and a HBP.
