Belinelli and Watson are cold...
But Wright and Randolph are doing great.
10-16 for 26 points for Randolph and 4-6 for 15 for Wright. 7 rebounds each and 4 block shots for Wright!
And again for Randolph!

And my connection is perfect :)

No minutes for Hendrix :(

Just read Hendrix was injured for this game which is why he got no minutes.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/warriors/index?

Got an update on Hendrix: He isn't playing due to injury. The Warriors are hopeful he'll be ready to go Sunday or Tuesday.

tru_warrior
07-11-2008, 06:49 PM
good find. hendrix is actually suppose to be one of the starters...so that makes sense that he's injured.

Lincoln Logs
07-11-2008, 06:49 PM
I had a feeling that was why. Thanks. I think its pretty obvious now that Randolphs true position will be at the 3.

tru_warrior
07-11-2008, 06:52 PM
its also pretty obvious that we're gonna need a real backup point...because cj watson looked pretty bad today.

lol there not just gonna drop bellinelli. it was teh first summer league game. beasily followed his steallr debuet by missing 12 of 13 shots. mullen and neslon have made it clear that they believe in bellinelli and he is going to playing alot more minutes.

Lincoln Logs
07-11-2008, 07:54 PM
You can't say Belinelli is going to be a bust yet. Sure he wasn't at his best this game, but he has one of the sweetest strokes I've ever seen. He's also a decent driver so can get to the rim, and has pretty good court vision, so I think he has all the skills to be a pretty good SG, and if he worked on his defense and rebounding more, could be come a great all around player.

He has an NBA ready offensive game, its the other parts that are holding him back. I fully expect him to produce with more minutes though.

im talking about last years regular season.. he didnt look good at all. i didnt watch the summer league game. i dont see how he would get alot of minutes with buike and steve jack maggette all these available peices at sg. brandon wright looked pretty good to me and cj watson sucks.. is there any way that getting jason williams a possiblity or is he too old/ exspensive not good?? i havent watched him play in a few years but i always liked him and i know he was/is available.

ok bellinelli cant create his own shot, he can't play d, he just didnt fit..it was awkward, like he wasnt comfortable out there..i dont really care im just saying that during the regular season he looked like he wouldnt be more than a below average player to average at best. Cj watson was decent i guess but not a good distributor he just either jacked up a 3 or passed it back to monta or something he didnt look like a typical point guard and he wasnt a great shooter either. so you can attack me on the internet all you want but my claims are pretty resonable and not too outrageous. just dont be so suprised when cj watson and marco belinelli dissapoint again next season

NO cuz thats not whats gonna hapen. your claims are outragious. And i dont think you have any understanding of evualting player or understanding play prgressions, perosnal moves. You want us to sign willimas yet you havnt seen him play in years according to you. The fact your trying to say that based off last year, bellinelli at his best will be jsut average says it al to me about your understanding. bellinelli wasnt expected to contribute major minutes last year. not with all the vets ahead of him. now we have let to wings go and mullenb and nelli have both given him major props and fully are behind him. Yes his defenise not whre it needs to be but defense comes with time and playing. ginaobli had to do through it. wtason, who knows, no has said he is the asnwer. belielli is not gonna dispoint next season. at worst his gonna be very efective, come in the right situaiton for instant offense. to jsut brush him off as a shotter is terrible. watch some real flim, not when playes 2 min of garbage ball, read some reall scouting reports.

tru_warrior
07-11-2008, 10:40 PM
at best, belinelli compares to ray allen. that's what everyone was saying when he got drafted. im willing to wait a few years for him to get up to that potential. at worse...he'll end up like eddie house. and i like eddie house. belinelli will be good. he wont end up like jiri welsch. lol.

excpet bellnielli is a real shooting gaurd

07-11-2008, 10:45 PM

ray allen is a superstar one of the best he can do alot of things i dont see that in belinelli.. belinelli can shoot though but dont get me wrong i love the w's and i want everyone to succeed i hope im wrong about him

Bellinelli is a shooter and shooters need consistent minutes. Bellinelli did not get anywhere near consistent minutes and as a result he struggled. Belinelli may never become a superstar, but a guy with as good of a shot as his can be invaluable to a team. Honestly, having a guy who can shoot on your team can do wonders; whether he is your starting point guard or a guy off the bench. Belinelli will always at least have a role on this team that will give him value to us. Not to mention he has the potential to be a lot more.

MYWARRIORS
07-12-2008, 11:29 AM
I look at Belineli as someone as Pedja Stojakovic as far as shooting 3s, except like someone says Pedja gets minutes and he gets into it. Belineli needs minutes, and I'm sure he'll get few 3's and some points. Belineli's minutes last year were a joke, how can you expect him to to excel?? (sorry for misspelling BelinelLi) :)

Mister Mitty
07-12-2008, 11:32 AM
Belli won't be a superstar, but he'll be a solid guy off the bench who could stretch the defense with his ability to drive and to shoot. He reminds me of a Kyle Korver or a Mike Miller but better as a playmaker than a catch and shoot player.

I think Belinelli could be a specialist much like Vujacic was on the Lakers, but Belinelli is a better passer, and has a better overall feel for the game. Way too early to say that he's a better playmaker than Mike Miller.

One thing that does stand out, is an interview with Marco when he got drafted by the Warriors. In his limited English, he described himself as "a streak shooter" which told me a lot of what to expect.
