Offensively, we're better.

Defensively, The Admiral and Mr. Fundamental will eat us up.

Agreed.

I don't think we're going to win the title this year, but I hope I'm proven wrong.

Interesting thought...

IMO, Spur's long triumph (not just '99 championship) very much comes down to the legendary coaching under Popovic...

everything is organized, focused, compact AND UNDER CONTROL... (But admit it, so so so boring to watch!!!) hence, all players are pulling in one direction

in this aspect, Mitchell is still miles apart...

just recall the painful and jealous 'chemistry' developed between TJ Ford & Calderon... (glad B.C. stepped in and take care of that clown)

and the stagnant developments of Bargs / Graham / Kapono, who are heading for the lost & found toll collection

i wonder why coaching is often ignored, when considering the key players / factors to a lasting dominant team

Matter of fact, i love what B. Scott is doing in N.O., turning the hornets from a laughing stock to legitimate force in no time

your stats would have us avg'ing +110 ppg and i don't see that... I think parker will be a couple of points lower, kapono will be a point or two lower.. and bosh will be at 19-20 ppg...

those ppg doesnt mean we are gonna average 110 plus points a game cause sometimes people wont play or because of injuries.

we need one more piece

Biggest difference is obviously the Tim Duncan factor. We lack that and no one on this roster will ever have it.

we cannot compare Duncan and Robinson to CB4 and JO just yet

It's the things that don't show up in the boxscore as well that counts.

Durant is hype

PLEASE dont compare The Spurs with Raptors.

with what you give the raps would be getting 103 ppg, as a team and thats without including jawi? and hump, which would probably be around 7-8 ppg and there is no way that the raps would be getting 110 ppg as a team, just not happening.

Wasn't that a Chuck Swirsky saying when they won? I don't think we'll be hearing that at all this season, unless you are watching a Bulls telecast when the Raptors beat them.

robinson > oneal
duncan > bosh
elliot > moon
ellie = parker
johnson = calderon

popovic >>>>> mitchell

Defence + Chemistry

Oneal helps D but we still are miles away from the SPurs in that regard, and chemistry forget about it... although in both catorgories its possible to make great strides this year lets see what happens

The Raptors have a long way to go before they can compete for a championship. They still play zero defense. Defense wins championships. If O'Neal stays healthy they can be competitive, but the Celtics are still intact and Detroit is still an Eastern Conference power. I think a lot of Raptor fans have Jermaine confused w/ Shaquille.
