To all you Houston fans that think the Rockets are going deep into the playoffs this year, you might want to read this article. T-Mac might not be there next year.

Detroit was said to be making a big pitch for Melo this summer as well.

They actually tried, but denver shut it down! I dont think is going to happend I dont see rockets departing with tmac this year, maybe next year? Besides how wierd would he look in a detroit uni. I think Dumass is blowing everyone's horn just to let them know if they dont get their act straight he would start making move's, In the other hand he would make a move by next years trading deadline????? I think he is mad about last years performance and is acting desperate!

If the Rockets can get Rip and Sheed or Rip and Chauncey, they will definitely compete for a title.

Who needs Sheed when you have Yao and Scolandry?

Besides, if tmac leaves, who's going to play SG?

I agree, I think for at least this year the Rockets stay intact. If they don't get out the 1st round this year, then expect some changes to happen.

Also it wasn't really on mcgrady as he was the only playmaker on the team and Yao was hurt which meant they barely had any offense.

Actually this was the update....

UPDATE: A Sherrod Blakely of MLIVE

"A report out of Detroit indicated the Pistons were close to getting a deal done that would land them Houston's Tracy McGrady.

Sources I spoke with this morning confirmed that the story is not true. In fact, the two teams haven't had any type of talks with each other in quite some time. Last I checked, telepathic deals aren't allowed in the NBA.

Maybe this rumor was planted to get both sides talking again."
