Manny Ramirez has gotta be the most entertaining person to watch in Baseball. I was just wondering peoples opinions of some of the crazy things hes done. During the 18-5 whippin on the twins he entered the green monster and made a phone call on his sell phone. He has gotta be the funniest player i have ever seen

manny being manny is great for red sox nation. Everyone loves the funny things he does. Cutting off damons throw, going in the monster several times, high fiving the fan, and the whole rubbing taverez's head thing lol. As long as the sox keep winning, and manny keeps producing, i see nothing wrong with it.

but he definitely needs to grow up. When I was 9, my first life dream was to play pro-ball. My second was to strikeout Ramirez. My third was to knock him unconscious with a high fastball :).

Seriously, if he ever came to STL....

Manny has way too much fun playing a childrens' game - smarten up and be serious and show the respect commensurate to a game that's given us such pillars of the community as Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb. Geez Manny.

I personally think Manny is border line RET@RDED. When people say "o its just Manny being Manny," in my eyes there basically saying this guy is such a moron he doesnt know the difference between right and wrong; so just let it go. I laugh when Manny does the things that he does, but its more of a im laughing at him, not with him.

My favorite Manny moment is when he pushed that 60 year old ticket man to the ground, wow, what a great guy.

Ballplayers of old would roll in their graves if they saw Manny's on field antics.

Well, I mean, outside of what he's done this year (The Youk/traveling secretary incident), he really hasn't done anything to show why he shouldn't be the "role model" type. I mean, he plays the game hard, and he trains about as hard as any athlete out there. He's talented, and he, unlike many others, does not talk smack.

I dont really care, and wouldnt care if it was any other player. In my eyes it's a game, these guys should be having fun, if there not having fun, then obviously there only in it for one thing. Now if george bush was to take a piss in the middle of something, I may be worried, these are 35 year old men playing a kids game, what do you expect.

Not hustling on fly balls/popouts, asking for a trade almost every year, showing up a pitcher after a HR. I want my kid to learn the fundamentals and to respect his teammates, management and opponents, and also to play hard cause unless he has Manny's skills he won't go far doing what manny does. that's why i said he is not a role model for the kids.

i dont know if its cuz im a yankee fan but i think manny is just an idiot he is a great hitter and probably one of the best ever but the way he goes about on the baseball field is just ridiculous its one thing to have fun but its another thing to act like a 2 yr old im sick of the way baseball is getting its turning into a sport where the players just laugh and talk to the other team when there on the bases i want to see some people play pissed off and start earning their paychecks

So, shall we go back to the Ty Cobb days? Sharpen the blades up and take a nice hard slide into someones legs?

Seriously, give me a break. Times have changed. Players talk and have fun with each other, and I have absolutely no issues with that whatsoever.

As long as manny doesnt come out of the green monster lighting a blunt I really dont care what he does....he doesnt really hurt his team's play with acts like that and you know he acutally does have to work hard and long because if he didnt he would be no where nearly as sucessful as he is today.

Giambi cheated along with many others, but at least he apologized and moved on. He didn't do anything on the field to embarass his teammates, fans. He did it out of the field. I blame MLB and the union more than Giambi cause there is no reason why you don't have testing unless you want to have a tainted sport just to get more money(league, union and players got more money thx to drug use).

Giambi RIGHT NOW is not doing anything to embarass anybody.

Manny is a character on the field, off the field hes a class act. Hes one of the if not hardest workers in baseball.

Hes not disrespecting the game in any way, thats his personality, hes an entertainer.

Hes been doing this since his first at bat of his career idiot, not because his career id diminishing and even that statement is false.

His first career at bat, he hit a ground rule double and thought it was a home run. He was jogging around the bases like he hit a home run, once he finally raises his head his whole team was laughing at him and telling him to turn around.
