Don't do it. JJ is amazing defensively and putting together a good offensive season.

Interesting. If we could squeeze Eckstein out of it as well, I think it might be worth it.

Ha, no chance.

Burnett has high K numbers, but his ERA isn't that great. Maybe a shift back to the NL would be great for him, but Hardy is too on fire and young right now.

Because we need pitching more and Burnett is an elite talent. Plus, we have Escobar. Eckstein is a perfect 2 hitter and would fit in very well with this team. He has a ton of experience and produces as well.

We need bull pen help. Not starting pitching.

Escobar wouldn't come up and play right away if we traded Hardy this year I wouldn't think

DEAL DEAL DEAL

Alcedis is a big solution and only 21

Why lock him up when all he does is pull the damn ball to left field and then acts like he was actually trying to hit it to right

AJ Burnette hasn't looked to good this year. We roughed him up for 8 runs at Miller Park over like 5 or 6 innings. I would rather see a Gwynn for Maddux or Wolf type trade. I know that neither of those 2 are great, but they would make a better 5th starter than McClung. JJ has looked great the last two weeks, but prior to that he wasn't hitting very well, only about .240. Nonetheless I would rather keep Hardy at SS and possibly try and trade him this offseason. If you can get Burnett and Eckstein for him, which is unlikely, def. pull the trigger, but not for just Burnett.

Why people like this deal is beyond stupid. Hardy is already proven at SS. His streaks can carry our team for weeks and when he is put in that 2-hole you can see the damage he does. Sure sometimes you can't stand him when he is up at the plate but look what he has been able to do since he came back from that injury. Yet, half of the people want another eight-figure average pitcher.

ESCOBAR DOESN'T NEED TO PLAY SHORTSTOP.

Alcides Escobar is a decent AA shortstop.....why would he be your answer this year at the big league level?

I'm sorry but what the hell are you on? Hardy has an .855 OPS right now. Escobar won't come near that and Burnett is seriously terrible right now. If he stays terrible we're stuck paying him over $10 million for the next two years and if he's good he's leaving meaning we just traded Hardy for a rental. Reading your posts on here I have to wonder if you've ever watched a baseball game.

Hardy's OPS is better than Escobar is doing in ****ing AA.

Either way, Burnett is a rental anyway....

Eckstein isn't a perfect anything, he's ****ing awful... at everything, as is proven by his .708 OPS and Rate2 rating of 90.

How do you plan on signing Sheets and Sabathia and trading for Roberts and Sherrill without giving up any of our top prospects? Gwynn isn't a starting caliber outfielder, either for the one-millionth time.

Your spelling is awful, too. It's Braun, Gamel, Kendall and Parra.

Since when does a 2-hitter need OPS, and I believe Rate2 is a defensive stat? So why are you bringing either of those things up?

Eckstein is a .295 hitter who gets on base .355% of the time and only strikes out 40 times per year. He's unselfish, he runs the bases well, and he tries as hard as anyone in the league. That, my friend, is as good as a 2-hitter gets in the MLB.

his name is SPAZZ......and spazzes know absolutely nothing about spelling.....anyway im growing weary of these useless spouts of information regarding the brewers team......our future is our FUTURE.....not someone elses future.... i should hope the brewers arent stupid enough to go after anyone else other than maybe sum bullpen help.....Damaso Marte comes to mind here....plus hes a lefty which is very valuable in this day and age....dont trade away talent because sum half baked former superstar is availabe for half a season....makes absolutely no sense at all.....dont break up the chemistry this team has worked so hard for......we wanna win....we keep the guys we got and go for it...its that simple
