Wow....what a terrible article.

Half of that was common sense, and the other half was just stupidness.

I agree, anyone who knows baseball knows a good left handed anything is highly sought after. Every team in baseball has at least one left handed pitcher/hitter in the game that would have no business being at the major league level if they were right handed.

QFT I agree with everything you said. I wasted 2 minutes of my life reading that article. I want my 2 minutes back!

"Not catching on: One position a lefty rarely plays is catcher; it is difficult for a southpaw catcher to throw over so many right-hand batters."

"Pitching: The left-handed pitcher generally is much more difficult to steal off. From his stretch, he peers directly at the runner; the right-hander must look over his shoulder and wheel to first base, giving the runner more of a warning of the pitcher’s intent."

Wow, you learn something you already knew everyday.

After what all you people said, I expected it to be much worse, he is not that off on his thoughts....the baserunning, the pickoffs for the lefties, the vision of the batter, the ballparks I actually agree with a lot of it
Except the fielding, lefties have it easier for RF and 1B but righties have it easier for all other positions and the catcher stuff which i cant find a point for him putting that in there
Aside from those too I have to agree with the man, not exactly Rigged for lefties, but they do have quite some advantages, I've always said If i was a left handed hitter I could've gone further in my baseball career than I actually did

I'm left handed, and while I've never played organized baseball, I have played other sports and they aren't "rigged" for lefties, lefties aren't as common as righties. Its a fact of life, and therefore, they will be more sought after, as long as sports are played. It sucks though when you're looking for stuff and all you can find is stuff made for right handed people!!
