Do you think the Red Sox will win the 3-game series that started yesterday against the Twins? they had a hard time coming with a 1-run victory at the eight inning, so these two remaining games are kind of complicated considering that the Red Sox are going through a difficult moment since they just recently lost 2 straight to the Rays and went even at 2 at NY with the Yankees...

I'm really not worried about the red sox. I'm sure they wind up with at least a wild card, and they only get better once ortiz comes back.

Sox have played more away games then any team, and they are much better at home - that's part of your answer.

Pen had been highly unreliable.

Ortiz is missing. Drew went flat. Manny is more Manny then usual. Lugo continues to be odious...

Don't fear, the Sox will be in the post season with Masterson to the rescue in the pen, and probably another RP arm via trade before the deadline. If Ortiz is gone, then Dunn is on the way.

I see a thread on the Dodgers on page one here, as well. What's the issue?

Yeah, but the Dodgers are working on a modest 9 game hitting streak.

We need pen help...thats obvious and i think will be taking care of before the deadline. Another power bat would help. Even if Ortiz is fine. Id even sign Bonds if it were cheap but only if ortiz wasnt healthy. Dunn would be nice.

Ortiz will be back after the break. There is no reason to consider guys like Dunn, Tex, or Bonds. It just isn't going to happen. Their problems right now seem to be a lack of timely hitting (leaving too many guys on base) and the Bullpen.

I am about ready to give up on Craig Hansen and MDC. They can't get big outs. Batters can sit on both of their fastballs because they can't throw anything else for strikes.

Meh. The Sox are still doing fine. They might have to get another reliever but the team is still loaded.
