I believe Lance Berkman would think otherwise.

A-Rod: 18 Hrs in 69 games. Hamilton has 19 in 86 games.
And Alex had 54 last year.

And Grady Sizemore has 22 HRs. Therefore, he's obviously the best power hitter in baseball.

Come on...

I also find it amazing how everyone always "forgets" about Pujols, too. It's like he's so under the radar yet he's arguably the best player in baseball.

Heis not really a "Power" hitter, he is more a line drive and sometimes HR hitter. He is great all-around, kinda like Manny in his prime. Pujols is the best hitter in the game, A-Rod is the better "power" hitter. You know why I say that? He hits long bombs in that long porch(death valley area) in YS and do it more frequently than any hitter in the league.

Well I sure hope so, its not like the rest of the league plays at Yankee stadium. All in all I don't know how A-Rod is the best power hitter in the game. If the thread is about currently who is the best power hitter it has to be Berkman, if its talking about the last few years it has to be Pujols. Pujols is putting up the greatest season of his career and no one is even noticing it.

But with that reasoning, wouldn't Adam Dunn be the best power hitter? He absolutely crushes his Home runs.

Based on pure power....Ryan Howard. A-Rod probably has the most "versatile" power because he can hit bombs the other way better.

Howard is the best power hitter, but best combo hitters are Albert/Arod

Adam Dunn if its only based on pure strength and power. If not him probably A-Rod. Grady Sizemore is close to though he can could hit 40+ HR this year.

Well, techinacally (SP) OPS is the almighty stat, so right now Chipper is. Than Berkman, Pujols, Holliday.

Seeing that A-Rod is going to set the all-time record one day for HR's, I don't see how you can pick otherwise.

OPS including on base percentage...how does that factor into hitting for power??

raw slugging percentage should be the number you're looking at....Berkman leads the league with a .663 SLG

Although I grudgingly would have to admit that gayRod is probably the best power hitter. I really hate him though, so I think Ill stick with Berkman for THIS season.
