View Full Version : Brand selling house signing with Warriors?

I just came across this thought is was interesting.

"In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Brandís re-listing of his walled and gated house at 8412 Carlton Way. Records show that Brand placed the house back on the market on June 5. Currently a free agent, Brand, 29, recently concluded seven seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers and widely is expected to sign with Oaklandís Golden State Warriors (NBA free agent deals cannot be announced until Wednesday)."

It says he put it on the market June 5...which would make this article kind of irrelevant. If it said July 5...then that would be great news for us! I'm not sure how much to look into this...but hey! Anything that points him towards the Warriors is great.

thought Id add to the drama lol

LOL Elton could just be doing this to add to the drama that is this offseason. I really don't know what to think. The articles even say that he's signing with the Warriors for 5yrs/100mil. I don't know how much a website about homes knows about the nba salary cap and such.

Clippers fans are arguing that this is no big deal because he has another property. But that other one is $4million less than this one.

I really dont know...I hope this means he's coming!

he could just be looking for a BIGGER main house. we will know very soon.

July 9 is the day and what a fun...or not very fun...day it should be for us.

07-07-2008, 10:06 PM

All of a sudden he's widely expected to sign with us? Where did that come from? No matter what, this is extremely encouraging.....

I don't see why everyone is so exited over this. He put the house on the market in early June, way before Free Agency. And as far as I know, the Warriors and Brand never had any secret deal.

07-08-2008, 01:10 AM
they diddent have a secret deal, mullin just threw 30 million more then the clippers and gave brand the reason to come to oakland. with brand in the middle with biedris, monte will be able to play point and we get a good defencive minded sg who can get 10-15 points a game while sharing mins with randolph and belinelli.

07-08-2008, 01:30 AM
People sell houses. I don't think this is a big deal.

07-08-2008, 01:35 AM
the big deal part is that all them say he is expected to sgn and now yahoo is saying its true as well

07-08-2008, 03:03 AM
yahoo needs to pick up some more reliable sources though. the house website even states that the house was put on the market june 5...and they make it sound like EB has wanted to leave since then. they don't take into account anything thats happened this past week with EB and BD.

they say EB is "widely expected to sign with the golden state warriors"

Yahoo did not say that. The house property site said it. No credibility.

If the cap money is too close, we dont have a chance. He may even pick the 76ers before us. He could help more them in a weaker conference with Andre Miller and Iguodala.

coz his gonna take a put cut and play for houston

07-08-2008, 09:38 AM
i heard this is the second time he's put that same house up on sale. he still has another house in LA, so i dont think this means much.

07-08-2008, 11:25 AM
I hope this is true...but I'm not getting my hopes up. I remember after ARod opted out he sold his house back east and was home shopping in the bay area.....but there was never an offer on the table to ARod, so maybe this is different....I'll believe it when i see it i guess
