Any thoughts ( should nothing more intriguing hit the radar screen) on nabbing Anthony Carter for an interim Point Guard?

Denver is only offering him the Veterans Minimum at the moment - and he had a great year for the Nuggets in the regular season ( he did tank in the playoffs)

A 2-3 year deal at $2-3 mil per year would get us a serviceable and tradeable PG while we look for long term answers.

I really would be okay if CJ Watson grew into the PG job by mid season

i though Chris Duhon was a deal at his asking price as well.

I doubt he would blow as bad as the Troy Hudson experience. At least he can suit up!

He may not be the Guy -But My Point is ....

Maybe it is not the wisest choice to invest heavily in a PG you might not want more than next season- especially since we are not going into the playoffs next year.

We need someone to fill a void for now, and either be tradeable OR relegated to a back up if we are able to secure a quality PG in a future trade.

if we don't want to heavily invest..how bout sebastian telfair or shaun livingston..telfair is a free agent and livingston is about to be..atleast they have a ton of potential

after having baron davis...you think we could really be satisfied with someone like anthony carter? we need a point guard with some excitement in his game. we are an exciting team...imagine this exciting team with...anthony carter...yuck.

Anthony Carter=not the answer!
I would not even want him as the backup.

i say try to nab andre miller or some one like hinrich. i knoe he is not the best point guard but he would be better in nelsons system. and i think andre miller could lead the league in assists in nelsons system. call me crazy but he isnt great but he is a very good guard. just a thought

i like andre miller.

as for hinrich...he actually has a contract until 2012. i dont want to invest in him for too long.

there are a few quality PG on the DLeague. It worked for us in the past, we could find another gem over there.

if monte is the point then i trust that he is ready to be an elite player at the point guard position. nelson wouldent move him to the point unless he thinks he is ready to take over the position and be just as good as he was as a sg if not better.
we will pickup a backup pg like carter, or heinrichm. but expect monte to be the point at the start of the season.
