What is that one player that you thought would be great but failed to deliver on all the hype in the past 10 years?

Michael Olowakandi.

Former #1 pick that averaged 9.5 PPG, 7.7 REB and 1.63 BLK in his career.

Was drafted ahead of Mike Bibby, Antawn Jamison, Vince Carter, Dirk Nowitzki and Paul Pierce.

If you wanna go back a little further then take a look at the stellar careers of Joe Smith and Bryant Reeves. At least Joe Smith became a halfway decent role player but Bryant Reeves turned into a fat, injury prone mess after signing a huge extension.

Kwame Brown easily. Darko's still young and developing, he's not going to suck as much as Brown.

Kwame,Kandi, and Darko didnt have any hype. Nobody knew who they were b/f they were drafted. Just bad personel moves ve FOs. Biggest HYPE had to be JJ Reddick. That dude is just Poo.

Morrison had a decent rookie year then got hurt. He sill has a chance. Coach Ron Jeremy wont let JJ sniff the floor.

You have to have some hype to be a top 2 pick, and I don't think JJ Reddick had that much hype. A lot of ppl could see he was going to be a bust before he played a single game

How about Sam Bowie? If you are picked ahead of Michael Jordan you got to at least win a ring, be an all-star, start a game....SOMETHING...HAHAHA!

JJ Reddick still hasnt even played 2mins in one game, give him a shot to be at least a role player i bet hes going to turn out to be like Kapono. Under rated his whole career until someone finally gives him a chance.

Anyone with a brain new Reddick was going to suck in the NBA.

He was a great college player, but his lack of athleticism, defense and lack of PG skills killed any shot he ever had in this league.

I can't remember a single person hyping him as the next big thing either, so I'm not sure where you're coming from with that.

exactly, he was loved by many fans cause of his achievements in college, but every expert was skeptic about him going to the nba...

Darko and kwame are not really all that big of busts. At least they still play. I say everyone that got drafted with the first 10 picks and are not in the league anymore are busts, unless injury occured.

He still was a good player, he just was 1 dimensional. But even if he was a top 5 pick, most people would say he was a pretty good player.

This is the busts of the last 10 years, Kobe was drafted 1996. When he says KB, he means Kwame Brown.

Ridiculous for anyone to say Morrison, seeing as he hasn't even been playing that long. Darko I can see, as with the Candyman, but Jay Williams' career was over before it started in essence. I'd say Candyman, Kwame Brown(only because he's still in the league), and Jay Williams are the Top 3.

Brown and Olawokandi. I dont think Darko was a bust it was a gambler pick some times you go all in and lose but your aware it might happend so not sure if you can call it a bust.

Brown i think is the bigest disapointment i was pretty sure he will be at leats a 15/10 guy.

Darko and Kwame, Darko is worse because of all the amazing talents passed up after him in the 03 draft.

Jay Williams was a bust for the Bulls big time but, it kinda wasn't his fault and it kinda was his fault for popping wheelies on a bike like an idiot.
