If he isn't signed a month from now then I would like to see him as our 13th man. He is a more of a SG but he is considered a combo guard. He is 26 and has played relatively well when he starts averaging 10ppg in 25 minutes. He is known as a good defender too. I think he would fit in well with the team especially if they could get him for cheap like Doug Smith thinks we could. Doug has mentioned him a couple of times as an option. The Celtics have NOT extended him a qualifying offer so he is available.

Hed be a great pick up if he truly is available for cheap. He would fill some needs and has shown himself capable of producing given minutes.

He's certainly that type of energy player that the Raps can utilize to help revive their anemic wings. However, his continuous availability should send a strong message to the potential suitors, who obviously haven't engaged in any bidding wars for his services. One of the reasons being to me is that Allen's attitude could be a big part of why teams have been flopping on him.

I've always been a fan of his. IMO he would outplay Moon and by mid season he would be starting.

i think hes undersized to play sf

I think we should sign him, he will end up starting.
Near Future-

If Maggette or any other scorer falls, he is our main priority.

He is, but Parker can guard the 3.

I think he would be a great pick-up if he's cheap.

If he's cheap then sure!

I've always been a fan of his. IMO he would outplay Moon and by mid season he would be starting.

See that is the thing, other teams might offer him more money but we can offer him the opportunity to start on a playoff team.

i think for a team like the raps tony allen can be a good of the offences player because of the shooters the raps have the floor will be space out and tony allen is already and good slasher

i think he would be an excellent addition, but only if he is cheap.

I would wait until we find out from Delfino what he is doing. If Delfino is staying, then we have Moon, Parker, Kapono, Delfino, Adams, and Allen. If Delfino goes, then perhaps Allen would be the best bet out there. Of course if Delfino stays he would be our 13th man no?

Watching Allen this past season, he looks like that gritty penetrator the Raps r in need of and I think he would look good in a Rap's uniform.

tony allen is a really good player that got buried on the boston bench... before his injuries he had like a 25 game stretch where was putting up some ridiculous numbers ... he was filling it up in every category... it would be awesome to get this guy on the raptors team... he would make a good young replacement if anthony parker gets traded or doesnt resign with the team....

Allen would be a good pick up. I don't see him starting but he'd be a good 6or 7th guy off the bench. I think his attitude is decent but he has a raw game and is a suspect shooter. Great athlete and good defender.....hmmmm....I think they have Tony Allen already....sounds like Hassan Adams.

He'd be nice if we can get him cheap.

we're more likely to sign someone who can play a bit at pg as well as the 2, ala House, Mason jr, or Hunter. i think our swing positions are pretty crowded (Parker, Kapono, Adams, Graham, Moon, maybe Delfino, and i wouldn't be surprised to see Ukic -6'5" get some time at the 2 if he's good, and Bargnani at the 3 in some match-ups).
i'd still like to see BC pull off a trade before the season starts for a top-tier SF.
