Jul 2 The Braves have considered sending Francoeur to the minors with his recent struggles at the plate, the team's official web site reports. He went 0-for-4 in Wednesday's loss to Philadelphia and is now hitting .236.

Recommendation: Francoeur has struggled in June by hitting just .200/.263/.300. Even if he's not sent to the minors, he could see reduced playing time as it sounds like the Braves are ready to make a move. Rotowire

WOW. If thats true that adds even more insult to injury to what was supposed to be such a promising career. What do you guys think. Is he likely to get traded before he gets sent down? This came as such a shock to me, I knew he was playing poorly, but not this bad.

I just saw it as a note to his name on Yahoo's Fantasy Sports. Give me a second and I'll see what I could find.

Ouch, Braves might get dangerous now!

Seriously, besides that first half year of his career, hes been an below average offensive player. Very overhyped imo.

Depending on the personality of the player, it's not a bad move by the Braves. I'm sure they've discussed it with him, and they know that he understands that this is to clear his head and get him swinging the bat again, not a demotion that shows he's falling out of favor with the organization.

Well, not surprising. He's quite overrated. But, still, that IS a surprise for many.
