Free agent swingman Devean George has at least six teams interested in signing him, including the Suns, Spurs, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Hornets and Mavericks.
The Mavs have made George a free agent priority, but after giving their entire mid-level exception to DeSagana Diop, George could be lured away by a bigger payday.

I not sure I would try to sign him. Only thing I see us trying to sign him to add depth at Guard/Power forward that young and can play both positions.

If we are to sign him, I think that signals that Devin Brown will not be returning. I hope we don't offer him more the LLE though. He's not going to provide more than 10 mpg for us, so we don't need to pay him like he's a crucial member of the squad. He'd be our 8th-10th guy on the roster.

As a Maverick fan, I'm warning you about George. He's just plain bad.

i completely agree, all he does is shoot three's and plays average Defense.

I saw a Dallas game he kept shooting threes, maybe got one in. LeBron needs a consistent shooter because when LeBron penetrates, he'll need to kick it out to someone reliable.

We should have gone after Mo Peterson....He's a better shooter & a better defender than George. George won't play more than 10 mpg if we do sign him...

We really don't have a need at PF, but possibly we will if Cavs trade Wally need a SF of the bench. I would much rather have Posey if the price is right..

Or if we trade Wally, we could very easily shift LeBron to SG & play Kirilenko at SF.

Kirilenko would be nice at SF spot.

Yeah, we'd have a very tall & long lineup then. Adding him next to LeBron-Wallace-Z is an imposing line, regardless of who the PG is.
