According to http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?id=11353 the Rangers have signed Dmitri Kalinin to a one year contract.

it wasn't just to replace tyutin. it was to get a solid defensemen that will play until the defensemen down in hartford (sanguinetti, sauer, etc...) are ready to play

Kalinin is A good sign. I was'nt crazy about the Rosival signing. the 4 yrs 20 is what rosival offered and Slats turned it down. Then he turns around and signs him to the same offer? I don't blame it on the Campbell signing, I blame it on toronto with what they gave Jeff Finger. The whole offseason I was praying they could move Backman, who I think was a throw in to get Zherdev. Going to miss Tyutin. He played great with Girardi and was a hip checking machine. Mark Streit would have beeen better than Rosival, and cheaper. It would have given them PP help at the point.
