View Full Version : What team would you rather have for the next 3 years in place of your team?

Ok I did this in the Bulls forum, but I want to see how other posters view things as well.

What team would you rather have for the next 3 years in place of your team?

Let's say you had to switch your current team with any one of these teams in the league for the next 3 years, which team would you want to have and why?

NOTE #1: This includes the entire team with coaching staff. Just substitute our team with one of these teams below, which team would you want to be our team for the next 3 years? You could have the team you think should win it all or a sleeper or one that has a bright future.

NOTE #2: If you are a Lakers fan, don't vote for the Lakers, if you are a Celtics fan don't vote for the Celtics, if you are a fan of the Rockets, don't vote for the Rockets, etc. Simply put if you are a fan of any of the below teams, vote for another team you would like to replace your current team with.

Just imagine your team is not any good and you had to pick one of the below teams.

Just curious on what team most fans would prefer and if you like the pressure of being on a team that is expected to win it all or one that is good and ends up winning it all.

Utah
PG Deron Williams
SG Ronnie Brewer
SF AK-47
PF Boozer
C Okur

New Orleans
PG Chris Paul
SG James Posey
SF Peja
PF David West
C Tyson Chandler

Dallas
PG Kidd
SG Stackhouse
SF Howard
PF Dirk
C Diop/Dampier

Phoenix
PG Nash
SG Bell
SF Barnes/Hill
PF Amare
C Shaq

Denver
PG Carter
SG Iverson
SF Melo
PF K-mart
C Nene

Rockets
PG Rafer
SG T-mac
SF Artest
PF Scola
C Yao

Lakers
PG Fisher
SG Kobe
SF Odom
PF Gasol
C Bynum

Spurs
PG Parker
SG Manu
SF Bowen
PF Duncan
C Thomas

Celtics
PG Rondo
SG Allen
SF Pierce
PF Garnett
C Perkins

Magic
PG Nelson
SG Pietrus
SF Hedo
PF Lewis
C Dwight

Blazers
PG Bayless
SG Roy
SF Outlaw
PF Aldridge
C Oden

Sixers
PG Miller
SG Iggy
SF Young
PF Brand
C Dalembert

Raptors
PG Jose Calderon
SG Anthony Parker ??
SF Andrea Bargnani
PF Chris Bosh
C Jermaine O'neal

Also how would you rank them in the order of preference of what you would like the best to the worst.

NOTE #3: Just assume every team is completely healthy.

NOTE #4: I know this is weird but try to play along and mention what team you are a fan of.

Celtic/Jazz. I'm going to have to go with the blazers. Lakers couldn't beat them in the regular season and they were running on half fuel. If oden is as good as expected you can forget about another Laker dynasty, you can for get about the Spurs winning again, no matter what cheap tricks these 2 teams use to pull in talent it won't do them a bit of good.

That's not the point of the thread. The point is, if you had to trade your team for one of the teams listed who would you choose? And it prevents posters from selecting there own team if they are good in order to make a case for another team.

I think Paul is one of the best PG's in the game, they have a good coach, and a lot of good supporting pieces around Paul to ensure that they'll be good for years to come.

Sweet. I like the Blazers team as well. Oden and Roy the future inside-outside duo with Aldridge down low as well.

I chose the Rockets though because I like the inside-outside combo of a wing/pg and a big man.

If this poll doesn't explain part of the reason why Laker and Celtic fans get a bad rep, I don't know what will. The question is pretty clear, "What team would you rather have for the next 3 years in place of your team?" Yet, 8 Laker fans still voted for the Lakers, and two Celtic fans voted for the Celtics. Awesome! It's not that hard, pick ANOTHER team.

I voted for the Celtics, because I heart Paul Pierce. But if I wanted to bring a legitimate vote to this poll, which rarely ever happens by anyone here, I'd vote for the Blazers. They are stacked.

Has to be the lakers...if its the next three years, they have the best chace at a championship...if its 3 years more, then either the hornets or blazers.

I don't think anyone wants to be in the Bulls situation right now for the next 3 years.

I'd take the Bulls.

We have Rose the future PG GOAT.

I know we can't pick the same team but I'll cheat and say the Heat :D
Wade+Beastly+Boozer doesn't get any better.

Id take the Blazers in a heartbeat. Thats jumping on the bandwagon early. It would be easy to say the Rockets or the Horntes. They will be good for the foreseable future, but they have been good for a while. The Blazers are just starting to be a good team. That being said, I would never cheer for any team not wearing Purple and gold

new orleans. portland's nice, but they're a bit younger and its only for the next 3 years. if it was for next 5 or 10, i'd go portland
