As a former Houston Oilers fan I know how you feel. This is a sad day for the city of Seattle and for sports fans everywhere. Seattle deserves better.

I was wondering, does anyone know anything about whether the divisions will be changed now?

Hey guys, the regular posters on here. Thanks for being here and discussing the Sonics like they weren't leaving. I appreciate that. I'm going to take a few days off of sports, but keep your heads up.

Yeah, my bad for jumping on you. I've relaxed a little bit, and accepted the fact that there gone. But, yeah I'm still a fan of the players (kinda the team) but, in no way do I want them to win/make money for Bennett.

Here is a serious question. How many of you agree with me...

OKC will have to over-pay like crazy to get any players to come there. This is due to the location of the city and all of the "attractions" to play in that area. 'Oh hey, I want to go to OKC to look at dirt and twisters.' Anyways, the team will crumble there. Durant will leave because he realizes the city can't support a team and bring in star players.

Their franchise will fall apart. I give Bennett three years until he sells. At least we'll know which team will have the worst attendence after their first year.

Just read the Shaq quote in the sig...

Sonics will be back.. Once they renovate the place.. I am sure the supersonics will be an NBA team again... This is like the Cleveland Browns situation... They moved.. but now they are back again... and its still the Cleveland Browns... You guys have alot of pride in your team and I :clap::clap: you all.. I will feel the same way if the Knicks or any of my NY teams were moving.. but you do keep the colors and the name.. so when they do return... You still have the Sonics history that goes along with it...

As someone who was/is scared to death that both of his teams were/are going to move (The NO Saints and NO Hornets), I really feel your pain. At least the bastard didn't get the rights to the colors and name, he doesn't deserve them.

On another note, Kemp is one of my all-time favorite players. Here's to such great memories. :)

not true the city sold out every game that NOs came into town during the 06-07 season and i personally hate to see it but i think it will be better for the game because now they will have an extra team because the sonics will be back at the latest of 2013

Here we go again...

I'm pretty sure you could bring an NBA team into Montana or North Dakota for a short period of time and get some great attendence records . I'm happy that OKC filled the arena for the Hornets, but that is basically common sense. The city hadn't experienced the NBA, so they wanted to get a taste of it while they could. So what did they do? Bought tickets...

It will be the same story for their new team. At first they'll be big news, no matter their record they'll have pretty solid attendence the first year. What happens once they realize spending 50 dollars isn't worth going to a game? What happens when they can't make the playoffs? What happens when their star player(s) leave? Exactly, you'll see the real side of the city and discover how much they really love their basketball. Overall, I expect to see OKC as one of the top teams for attendence, for either the whole first season or at least the majority of it. If they are not one of the top, then boy, Bennett will be in debt fast and begging to have someone take the team off his hands.
