The Warriors will begin negotiating with Monta Ellis' camp on Wednesday.

Chris Mullin has vowed to match and offer sheet the restricted free agent receives.

Possible suitors include the Cavaliers, who could use a dynamic guard to pair with LeBron James, or the Heat, who could offer Shawn Marion in a trade.

Good luck to the Heat and Cavs.
The Warriors will never let him go, no matter the price of the contract, especially since Davis opted out. He isn't going anywhere.

As Baron Davis left the Warriors, Monta Ellis is surely to stay with Golden State, make no doubt out of that...

He'll stay a Warrior and be very very overpaid.

Kinda like Kirk Hinrich is and Deng is about to be.

Yup. Monta will get paid more than either one of them. I see him getting in the range of 12-13 mil.

I think him and Deng get the same kind of money.

Deng will accept 10 mil per year, and now that Baron has left, Ellis will take advantage and ask for more than he would have previously. Probably end up near the same I guess.

I see Monta signing a 1 year tender and getting big money next year in free agency.

I wouldn't mind all the bandwagon GSW fans leave but there is absolutely no chance they will let Monta go.

I would love Monta Ellis but unless playing alongside LeBron James is more important than a larger paycheck, I don't see him coming to Cleveland.

I think he's staying in GS. Since Baron is leaving them, they need to keep Ellis.

I'd rather have marion than monta ellis. I dont know why the heat are trying to move marion, when they will have an amazing team with wade, beasly and marion.
