Word out of Oakland is the Golden State Warriors -- no doubt shocked by Baron Davis' decision to opt out of his contract -- have offered Washington Wizards free agent Gilbert Arenas a max contract of $100 million over five years. The Wizards, who can offer Arenas more than any other team, are said to have countered with a deal of six years and $124 million according to the Washington Post.

Safe to say "Agent Zero" is in high demand. But is Arenas really worth that much?

Look, there's no doubt Arenas can ball. When he gets hot, he's as tough of a guy to stop as anyone in the league. He's also got an endearing -- albeit sometimes quirky -- personality both fans and corporations love.

No the Wizards originally offered Arenas the 100 mill contract we all heard of. Then the Warriors offered him something better and the Wizards countered that offer with something over 124 mill.

Thats what I hope

I remember 2 years ago when the wizards were the best team in the first half of the year, thats what I hope will happen this year with Gil, Jamison, Caron, and our current talent

High hopes....lol
