Hands Down Nba On Nbc..my Knicks Vs The Bulls, Heat, Pacers...and Marv Alberts Voice..i Just Get Chills When I Watch Old Games...if They Had The Nba On Nbc Now, It Would Suck, The Players Now Dont Deserve How Valuable That Theme Was..that Theme Meant Hardnose, Blue Collar, Physically Abusive With A Hint Of "go Home If You Wanna Cry, And Tell Ur Mom I Sent U" Mentality, Not For Wussys Who Flop And Ruin The Nba..the Nba Now Sucks..i Cant Even Watch Teh Playoffs..all This Flopping,a Nd Altho They Will Fine Ppl Next Yr, Its Gonna Be A Mess And There Will Be Appeals All Over..i Think Charles Oakley Should Be The Head Of The Officials Department..him And Jordan Together..

07-01-2008, 09:44 PM

07-02-2008, 03:44 AM
whenever i watch it on abc its bad luck for the lakers. back to nbc please

07-02-2008, 03:59 AM
The NBA on NBC brings back great memories on sunday mornings, the music, the broadcasters, it was a great time to watch basketball, ABC is boring and has the worst in studio analysts. I liked Bob Costas, Willow Bay, Hannah Storm, Amhad Rashad, Snapper Jones, etc.... Peter Vecsey, Dr. J, NBC by far had the better telecast.

07-02-2008, 09:51 AM
I remember the triple headers on sundays. The music brings back so many memories.

Loved watching the Lakers/Kings especially on Sundays. Those games were unbelievable and what was that bald guys name who use to commentate?

09-07-2010, 12:40 AM
Between those two, I'll take NBC for sure. I'll take Marv Albert and Matt Goukas or Marv and the Czar over Breen, Van Gundy and Jackson everytime. But for me it comes down to NBA on NBC v NBA on CBS. NBC had Jordan for the 90s but CBS had Bird v Magic for the 80s. Brent Musberger, Dick Stockton, Tom Heinsohn, Hubie Brown v Marv Albert, Matt Goukas, Mike Fratello, Bill Walton

And while Marv was fired, NBC had Costas/Isiah/Collins combo in the late 90s until Marv came back in like 2001 and announced with Collins, but Costas is really better served as a baseball announcer and I think it showed while Marv was out.

But anyways, for me my order would go 1. CBS 2. NBC and waaaaaaaaaaay down the line 3. ABC

NBC's intro was infinitely better though...classic
