Chris Paul will remain with the Hornets for at least four more years after the 2009 season, as he has agreed to a max deal.

The agent for the Hornets all-star guard tells ABC26-TV and NewOrleans.com Sports that he will be in New Orleans tomorrow to finalize Paul's new deal, though it is unclear if it will be an extension for four years or five.

Smart move by the Hornets. He's their franchise, gotta lock him up. He'll now be there for a long time. Nice move.

Franchise player. His contract is probably upwards up 80+ million.

Great move by the Hornets. Point guard is the most valuable position in basketball these days and he's the best at that position. This avoids drama when his original contract was gonna end, so great move.
