If we lose Baron for nothing then we wont sniff the post season again for atleast 3 years. No one can run the team like he does at this point. You can say what you want about him, but hes the team leader, floor general, ect... Monta isnt ready and we dont even have a backup besides Sarunas Jaske****z, if we even have him anymore. Its over...

are you kidding.... this is a chance to make our team way better then last season, not only does it open up 17 million for cap room, but it enables us to allow nelson to build the core of our team for when smart takes over. sure baron might be why we made the playoffs two seasons ago, but he is also the reason we diddent make them the first 3 seasons he has been here, or last season.
we can now comfortably resign ellis and biedris and azabuke, and still have around 10-15 million to sign some free agents.
say we dont sign and trade baron and we loose him for nothing..... we could then go out and sign brand for a 12 million a season deal for say 3-4 seasons, then look for a pg to run the team.
we could go out and pickup andre miller at pg and then run the team out as
PG: miller, belinelli
SG: ellis, azabuke
SF: jackson, anthony
PF :brand, wright,
C: biedris, periovic, croacher

ok so your just automatically landing us Miller and Brand. highly doubt that will happen. We have a bunch of swingmen, skinny big men(although they should be good eventually) and no point guard at all. Monta is a 2, he will never be a point.

You really think Davis was THAT good and made your team? Come on man! You get rid of 18 mill and sign 2 or 3 players to help your team

Baron wud be a huge loss for u guys. But u guys could trade without having to match up salaries now(As long as it dont take u more then 100k over the cap). If u really wanted Marion u could trade either Belineli or Randolph for him.

its a scenerio u idiot......
we could go out and do whatever
miller and brand are two free agents that fit our system and we have the money for them so it is very possible we sign free agents along those lines. for all anyone knows we might just resign baron.......but i forgot stephen a smith says we wont.

Just throwing it out there, but Agent Zero is still a free agent and the Warriors will have a few bucks to throw around without Davis signed on...

haha this reminds me djeller made a thread bout this very same possibility a month or so ago. At the time, we all bashed him for the idea, but now, with both of them opting out, it ALMOST seems like a feasible option.

On ESPN.com it talks about the top 10 free agents and in the B.Diddy section they hint at the Dubs having enough money to pursue nearly anyone -- even Arenas. I'd take the Arenas upgrade over Diddy, even though Baron has been a savior to Warriors basketball, and Arenas already turned his back on us once before.

Don't like Arenas.

1.) He's been injured. Might end up dissappearing like Jermaine O'Neal did last year.
2.) He want's max money!!! Some insane number like 6 years $100+ million.

And Baron hasn't been for most of his career?

And Baron hasn't been for most of his career?

Baron didn't end the season hurt, and Baron is not asking for max money!!!

Basically if we sign Arenas for Max money, we won't be able to sign either Monta or Biedrins.

I like Arenas, but not for his asking price.

Andre Miller is not a free agent.
