Patriots CB/KR Willie Andrews was arrested Monday for allegedly pointing a gun at his girlfriend's head after she accused him of cheating on her. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and assault with a deadly weapon.

The woman allegedly confronted Andrews at his apartment on Sunday night. She says he was waving a gun and that it touched her temple. This makes two arrests for Andrews this year, and we suspect he's out of chances. He was found in possession of marijuana in February. The Patriots are unlikely to look past this latest allegation, especially since Andrews is a role player.

Its too bad to see a 23 year old kid like this that has potential to make a living in the NFL and does not 1 but 2 stupid things that will scare teams away from him

This could likely end his tenure as a Patriot. Shame.

Patriots DB Willie Andrews was arrested in 2002 on a gun-related charge while playing collegiately at Baylor.

Monday's charge of unlawful possession of a firearm is nothing new for the third-year player; he was arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon in Texas as a college freshman. Andrews is currently being held without bail.

He'll probably face some sort of suspension, so the Pats are more likely to cut him.

Yet another player for America's youth will be looking up to. This is just shameful. I imagine he'll be another talented player who eventually fades into nothingness.

Scout.com's Adam Caplan reports that the Patriots released Willie Andrews.

The Boston Globe has confirmed the news, which was expected after Andrews' latest gun-related arrest. The third-year pro was no lock to make the roster after failing to develop at cornerback. He's a fine returner.

Not suprising.
