Charlotte Bobcats managing partner Michael Jordan confirmed to the Observer on Thursday that they were talking to the Raptors about a swap of Wallace and point guard T.J. Ford. The talks apparently hit a snag when Toronto additionally asked for a draft pick. Instead, the Raptors are moving Ford to Indiana in a trade involving forward Jermaine O'Neal.

Thank god that trade didn't go through. After last night's draft and their recent moves I have no faith that this front office can turn this team into a contender.

Trade Jason Richardson for Marko Jaric while you're at it, MJ!

The fact that it took Toronto to ask for a #1 to make Jordan say no is scarry

I think I know why the Bobcats are shopping Wallace. He has had 4 concussions in 4 years. I bet they are worried he will get another one and have to retire. So they are trying to something while they can. They think that he won't be able to finish out his contract.

I heard that the Raptors wanted a 2nd round pick from you guys, not a 1st roound pick.

I think when you guys didn't want to give us a 2nd rounder, we declined the deal.

Why would Toronto ask for an additional draft pick, but then end up trading theirs away to get rid of him in a different scenario?? Wallace probably has great value than O'Neal right now, although he does have a longer contract too.

I completely agree with this, but it's rare for a basketball player to have a concussion. I think he will continue his nba career, and whenever they play the Kings, Mikki Moore has to sit on the bench.

Well, they say that the more concussions a player has, the easier it is to get another one. You actually become more susceptible to concussions the more you get.

This is very true. And it has caused quite a few NFL players to end their careers.
