What in your mind was the biggest Disappointment of the 2007-2008 NBA Season?

Here are a few choices:

1) 2 Top Teams for years lose in Round 1 (Dallas and Phoenix)
2) Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat miss the playoffs
3) Washington Wizards lose to the Cavaliers again.
4) The Yao/T-mac experiment doesn't work again (due to injury of course)
5) NBA Playoffs
6) Denver Nuggets team underachieve
7) NBA Finals
8) NBA Lottery Selection
9) All Star Selections
10) OTHER

No disappointments this season for me...

The Suns getting tossed from the first round is probably the biggest disappointment. They faced the Spurs but still, it was an ugly loss.

The other would be Greg Oden's injury, but that was before the year began.

It shouldnt about Yao and Tmac not working. It should say
"Yao Ming getting hurt when the rockets were on a roll"

I was really looking forward to Shaq playing against Greg Oden. With Shaq now another year older it may not be as great as it would have been early on.

The Mavericks and Suns. They tried so hard to make a deadline deal to help there team (Mavericks trading for Kidd for Harris + more, Suns trading for Shaq for Marrion)

TBH, I wouldn't have made either of them trades, specially (sp?) the Kidd for Harris+more.

Harris is going to be a stud in this league, I think an allstar for years to come. They go into the playoffs, yet they just lose every year. It's almost as if they were pressured to make a move, they made it, and it was for the worst. They need to get younger guys who can run the floor. They need a true center (Shaq is too old to be playing the suns game, Dampier is average at best at center for the Mavericks)

Great season for me!

The disappointments were:
-greg oden's injury
-gerald green unable to establish himself in any team
-scalabrine not in the all-star game...

Definitely Greg Oden. I really want to see him play, and hope this knee injury doesn't end up being the reasn he never reaches his full potential in the NBA. Other than that, it was a great season. The playoffs were amazing.

Denver without a doubt.

As much talent as they have they really underachieved and blew it big time.

I was ashamed to be a Denver Nuggets fan.

7-0 to the Lakers this season. Wow.

But there is always next year and I'm hoping the Nuggets bounce back strong.

The Heat were a big surprise, but I was never high on Chicago. So I didn't pick that one.

I picked the Rockets, because for once I thought they'd make a legit run...but they didn't, yet again.

That's only because of injuries. Don't give up on them. I like the Rockets too.

Yeah... as a Rockets' fan, I have to vote with Yao going down AGAIN. A close second would have to be the NBA finals, though. I thought the playoffs were pretty good this offseason and we got to see some incredible games (Suns/Spurs game 1, Celtics/Cavs game 7) and some surprises (Atlanta and Philly playing well in their first round series). I thought it built up really well to nearly an inevitable finals that we all wanted. Then not a single game in the finals lived up to expectation, maybe with the exception of game 1, with Pierce's injury. That finals was just a huge letdown.

Is it just me, or am I the only one who thought that whole "scene" was fake?

Paul Pierce came out like a WWE wrestler!

Believe or not... He said when he was down, he was in severe pain, and the doctors told him not to put any weight on the knee...That's why he was carried...

He said the knee hurt throught out the series...

I'll find a link of what he said about this, and you can see for yourself...

I'm not hating on Pierce, man, I've been a fan of Pierce since 2000.

Funny thing is, I had his jersey in 2000 and I sold it 2 years ago. Now look what happens :P

Anyway, I just didn't like how he came out... Like Stone Cold Steve Austin or something... If he was in so much pain, why did he come out like he was a WWE Superstar?

I didn't like that... All the fans directed their attention from the game to Paul Pierce coming out of the entrance...

Not in favor of that one bit...

When the crowd saw him went wild, not really his fault...

Not really understanding the WWE analogy, he was carried b/c the doctors said so...The crowd went wild b/c he's our captain, and we needed him to beat the Lakers...

There's many ways of which I can describe his entrance....

He was pumped up b/c of the crowd ovation, and the little jump steps was to exercise his knee and stay warm.

Well, I can't say it didn't work. He kind of has a title now, and I'm so happy to see him get it. I love to see people who stick with their teams for a long time and finally get whats owed to them.

Congratulations, Boston!

.. And Pierce!

The Pistons screwing up in the ECF again (**** you Flip Saunders), failing to cement a lasting legacy. They'll have to settle for being the "Atlanta Braves of the NBA". Oh well, one championship is still one more than any team not named the Spurs, Lakers, Heat, or Celtics can say they've won since Jordan retired.

It doesn't kill me too much, the Celtics were extremely deserving; the most personally satisfying NBA champ since my Pistons in 04. KG won't have to go down as one of the greats from his era to not win a 'ship, as Iverson and Nash among many others likely will have to.

Good season.

As a Bulls fan it has to be the Bulls missing the playoffs, Just last year we were only one win away from winning 50 games, getting the #2 seed. getting a easy road to the ECF instead of the Cavs and having a good chance at making the Finals.
