This season it has been Berkman, but I think in the past and the future it has been and will be Pujols.

The Puma has been on fire this year. I truly believe he is the heart and soul for the Astros.....

Berkman's having a great year, but it has to be Pujols for his consistency, career ops of 1.044

Albert Pujols. Best hitter in the 21st century.

They're both amazing sluggers, and I give this year's and last year's edge to Big Puma, but career wise, definitly Al

As much as I hate and loath St.Luis, I believe ALbert is a killer. Heck, he always had Brad Lidge's number whenever they faced each other. Striking fear into an opponent is a key factor that can not be missed.....

Berkman is prolly the most underrated player in the MLB since he came in. I would take him this year over albert, but over a career, Puhols if probably the ONLY player i would take over Berkman. However they are very close. Puma has also become a beast defensively

Despite this year, it has to be Pujols for career, past and future.

Pujols will go down as one of the all-time greats if he continues his success. It's uncertain whether Berkman will make the HOF.
