I honsetly feel that everyone of them could start they have all had great season up untill this point. If u go on just #'s I think prolly Litch would get the call for his wins and low walk totall but my vote doesn't go for him. NOw Roy has been awesome this year doing it year after year, i mean he has 5 complete games. Most pithers will not have that in a year never mind the first 2 months. Burnett and McGowan have both pitched great but don't have the #'s to prove it so tis leads me to my choice. Marcum. This guy is awesome. I have never seen a righty on our team be able to control the strike zone like he does. It is awesome. Every start he gets it seem like he only gives up 2 or 3 hits and 0 or 1 run. I really like this guy and hop JP signs him long term. I feel bad for any starter coming up in the minors because they are not going to get a chance with the jays for a long time. I hope that all of us jays fans know how lucky we are to have the best staff in the big's and that we get to watch them work there magic. They are simply awesome

None of them will start but I think Marcum and Doc should make the team with McGowan having a shot at it.

I was just looking at doc's stats, and his 62 srikeouts are the 4th highest in the AL. Only 10k's behind CC for first

is there anyone still out there that thinks Litch doesn't deserve a look at a hot to at least make the team. This guy is pitching great. He has been our best strarter in his last 3 starts

It's going to be quite interesting, it would be nice to see Litsch at the mid-summer classic. However, I don't know if it's going to happen.

I wanted to post these stats somewhere but not start a whole new thread but I got curious to see how the former 5.2 million dollar man Josh...(Shudder)...Towers was doing in Triple A.

W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV IP H R ER HR HB BB SO
Josh Towers 4 4 6.58 10 10 0 0 0 64.1 87 48 47 7 8 1 7 48

WHIP HLD GF
1.62 0 0

Sounds about right eh ?

I expect to see Halladay Marcum Litch and Ryan at the all star game if everything keeps going the way it is. If i had to vote right now all 4 guys go.

If I had to pick one pitcher to go it'd be Litsch. Lets face it, the media here don't give him much credit and niether do the fans. The guy is BETTER than a #5 pitcher and he should be the #4 pitcher in this rotation with Burnett at #5.

The confidence boost this guy would get if he was sent to the all-star game would be amazing. I'm not saying he doesn't have confidence at the moment, he has a good amount. I just wanna see this kid get the credit he deserves with an added confidence boost.

Halladay and Marcum will both make the all star game. Litsch definitely wont. They arent going to have 3 Jays starters in the all star game, and Halladay and Marcum have both pitched much better then him.

according to stats it should be litsch or marcum but it will be doc

What stats are those. Doc has better stats then Litsch in every category except more losses.

Doc might not have the W's (which mean nothing) but the ERA and the rest of the stats are All Star numbers IMO more then any of the starters not named Marcum.

No one who isn't a superstar will be there. It sucks because it leaves alot of well deserving players out.

I agree he should be the 4.... AJ is slowly being pushed out of the rotation

I wonder if AJ will opt out of his contract. First of all does he really believe he will get a better offer somewhere else. Even if not does he really want to stay here if he is the #5 starter. I have to think the Jays hope he does opt out.

None of them will be starting the ASG.

It'll be Cliff Lee, if he keeps going at this rate. he's already got 10 W's & leading the AL in ERA too.

Actually I believe Marcum has a 2.43 ERA while Lee has a 2.52 ERA

Halladay was the only Jays pitcher (or player) to make the all star game it turns out. Congrats to him.

I think he will get close to that much. For a live arm like his, people are willing to overpay even more in thinking that they can control him and turn him into an all-star.

I think that Doc deserves to start the all-star game. He deserves a little retribution for July 8, 2005 when the Mench who stole christmas broke his leg and prevented him from starting the '05 game. Not only is it the 10 wins or low ERA this year but its all the innings and complete games hes racked up that put him above Cliff Lee in my mind.

I agree Doc deserves to start the all star game. In addition to all the things scotttube said he deserves tons of credit for carrying and leading this currently dysfunctional team.
