mhm its a good schedule but the bye is early

Schedule is easy, very easy. They could go 14-2 w/o being a great team. Anything less then 12-4, and it's injury or aging problems.

Bye is early, but it could be week 1 after all.

Please - no 16-0, lose to SD and Indy. Have everyone talking about the Pats no longer being on the ball, and then stomp both teams in the playoffs, and win it all with a 37-7 wipeout of the NYG, now that's a season!

I see the problem games being @ Indy and @ Seattle but thats about it and we will most likely lose one game to a division rival so Im going to say its vs. the Bills so im seeing a 13-3 record.

Pats vs. Colts is always something to look foward too.

The pats always lose to the broncos, so im gonna say they lose there and lose to an in-division team
14-2, 3-0 in the playoffs.

That would be great

here here'

They have the easiest schedual. And when you really think abuot it, the only huge playa we lost was samuel.
Stallworth is wayy replaceable.
Trust me, It is quite possible the pats go 16-0 again. If you dont listen to me, talk to the analysts.

I see the San Diego, Denver, Indy, and Seattle games being the biggest challenges, particularly with travelling for the San Diego game. Indy is always a good game, but this season in Indy it is going to be huge. And even though we have a much stronger team the Denver coaching usually gives us a good fight. I would be happy with a strong 13-3 or 14-2 season barring injuries/ age factors-coming into play down the stretch with the early bye week. But then again everyone is going to come at us with the kitchen sink this season. Struggling teams would have a huge "morale win" if they upset us and there fans, including John Thomase would love it. Would love to see the undefeated season though. Just to see the blank "How'd they do that" expression on all of their faces after the SB...especially after last season.

However this season if we are really up over opponents I would like to see more backup QB play- not for any running up the score issues- I don't care how much people complain about that... but more to see them get more time in and get some experience. Same for some of the young defenders as well.

Shock & Awe....

Don't sleep on Pittsburgh... they've always played us hard. We beat up on them good last year but you got to remember how we did it. We threw 3 over that big mouth safety (who was playing for polamalu...)

Ya, the Patriots will make it to the SuperBlow, because they suck. They get the easiest schedule year after year. The Rams could go 11-5 with that schedule. To bad they will lose to another manning again this year.

Well, in following your words of wisdom, let me show you the 2007 schedule, with the 2006 winning percentage...

Jets: 10-6 Playoffs
S.D.: 14-2 Playoffs
Bills: 7-9
Bengals: 8-8
Browns: 4-12
Cowboys: 9-7 Playoffs
Miami: 6-10
Redskins: 5-11
Colts: 12-4 Playoffs
Eagles: 10-6 Playoffs
Ravens: 13-3 Playoffs
Steelers: 8-8
Giants: 8-8 Playoffs
TOTAL: 114-94= .548

I dont think that S.O.S. is an accurate judge, but I think that this would prove that the Pats schedule for last year was fairly difficult, based on 2006 results. . They went 18-1 with a tough schedule. They had to face 7 playoff teams from the year before. Nice try though...

Dude, just stop it. The schedule's made 2-3 years ahead of time so no one saw the Pats going 16-0 in the regular season. Please stop whining and trying to bait people into an argument. If anyone who actually posts in here should be annoyed at the schedule, it's me. Every year I have to watch my boys get a "whoopin'" from the Pats and yes...it is getting old, but I don't whine about it.

If the Pats sucked, they wouldn't beat teams like...I don't know - Indy, San Diego, Dallas...do you want me to keep going or have I broken this down to words that you can understand?

The Pats will go 14-2 this season, no problem. Guys, here's my best guess:

And as far as the colts fan goes, get outta here right now, they will go 16-0 again, who did they lose besides samuel, seriously?

Stallworth will be replaced by jackson

Gotta be objective man. The games are awesome, we like who we like, and the rivalry makes it all the more fun...but let's face facts, none of it changes our paycheck every week. There are a lot more things in the world to get crazy about...why mess up football? It's the 8 hours a week that we can just sit there, drink beer, and enjoy the day:smoking:

There is another manning?

They have already lost to both mannings at one time or another. They have already beaten bot mannings at one time or another. Is there another manning coming into the NFL that will beat them?

We all can say its not the toughest schedule wev'e ever seen, but football is football. Wear and Tear will come fromm any and everygame, If tom brady breaks his arm (knock on wood) in the first game of the season, no one will be mentioning the easy schedule. Its because we know the pats are capable of repeating a stellar season and its obsticles aren't as tough as we would like. I'm going with the Colts mentality, Take every game one by one, NEVER look past a week (thats how upsets happen.) when you meet the Pats you give your shot, if you loose you make sure you win enough games to get a shot at them again. If you feel the pats have an easy schedule, your right they do, but theres nothing they did to get it (weak division, and random selections) But remember football is footballl any team can suprise. Every team should worry about them selves and take your best shot at the pats when you can. Thats what football is all about.

No more perfect season talk! I always liked it when people would count them out because they'd lose to Indy or Pittsburgh in the reg season and then turn around and stomp them in the playoffs! I'd take a 14-2 season with a title over another heartbreaking 18-1 any day!

I am going to say 12-4 or 13-3.

For the oblivious Colts fan that complains about everything. NFL schedules are done years in advance in a cycle. So for example NE plays the Bears in 2010 and again in 2014.

Trust...we're going undefeated! Last years schedule was 10x harder than this years and I think are team is even better than last years. Yes, we did lose Samuel but we also picked up lynch who will not only do his part but help out the young talent around him. Last year we didnt have much of a running game with maroney hurt for a while and morris out for the season, now they're all healthy and we have a new addition with Lamont Jordan. Brady has been on the "injured" list every game for the past two or three years so his injury wont effect us, and hes a player just like when McNabb played with a broked hand and leg. We might have lost seau but we now have Mayo, our team is a power house and our starters are probably never going to see the fourth quarter. our running backs are always going to be rested with our rotations and smash mouth football is going to tire out the defense specially when the have to play the d back off the line because of moss yet stay close for welker. Only top teams in the league have a chance and we are probably only goin to see 2 maybe 3 of them and well still be the favorites in those games as well. GO PATS!

Lol give it up man, this is a wait and see issue. Nobody knows how the Secondary will play, nobody knows if Brady's ankle is ok, nobody knows if Welker can perform in the #2 spot or if he stays in the Slot who the number 2 reciever will be, nobody knows if the youth can mesh w/ the aged at LB. I'm not bashing your ambition or Patriot passion. All im saying is hoping for a perfect season wont help. Game in Game out- week by week is the only outlook that equals winning. Before you guys started to flirt w/ perfection last year the colts started off 7-0 or better for the last 4 years and i'll be honest the perfect season stuff was only a distraction and was a lot of pressure! In my eyes every team needs to loose eventually so they can learn from there mistakes and make them selves perfect for a playoff push. W/o a lose theres no template, theres no bad game to study off of. So, Stop w/ all the perfect, especially now!

Dude you are becoming a PITA this team is not going to win all the games they play I fully expect that they will have their arses handed to them a few times this season. I don't expext to see thstarting O or D sitting out much of any quarter .....

09-06-2008, 09:21 PM
I don't think we'll have our "arses" handed to us at all. We'll probably lose 2 or 3 games this season, but I don't see any team on our schedule, which is the easiest in the league btw, who is capable of kicking our "arses".

Patsfan56
09-10-2008, 04:48 AM
Okay, so moving forward with Matt Cassell as our starter, I am guessing the following will take place with the schedule....

1 Sun, Sep 7 Kansas City 1:00 PM Win 17-10
2 Sun, Sep 14 at NY Jets 4:15 PM Win 21-17
3 Sun, Sep 21 Miami 1:00 PM Win 24-10
5 Sun, Oct 5 at San Francisco 4:15 PM Win 28 10
6 Sun, Oct 12 at San Diego 8:15 PM Lose 34-24
7 Mon, Oct 20 Denver 8:30 PM Lose 21-19 (very close game)
8 Sun, Oct 26 St. Louis 1:00 PM Win 35-14
9 Sun, Nov 2 at Indianapolis 8:15 PM Lose 31-17
10 Sun, Nov 9 Buffalo 1:00 PM Win 14-10
11 Thu, Nov 13 NY Jets 8:15 PM Win 27-24
12 Sun, Nov 23 at Miami 1:00 PM Win 17-7
13 Sun, Nov 30 Pittsburgh 4:15 PM Lose 28-14
14 Sun, Dec 7 at Seattle 8:15 PM Win 27-17
15 Sun, Dec 14 at Oakland 4:15 PM Win 31-7
16 Sun, Dec 21 Arizona 1:00 PM Win 21-10
17 Sun, Dec 28 at Buffalo 1:00 PM Lose 34-21

I can see taking the Jets and Miami for four wins, but see challenges with at least one of the Buffalo games, Denver (always plays us tough), SD, Indy, and Pitt. To my guestimate that would put the pats at 11-5. However, despite every fiber of my being wanting to say otherwise, I can also see us splitting the Jets games, taking us to 10-6.

Fire away, just my initial thoughts.

The Intimidator

^^^Very realistic, and very likely. Like I have said before, we are still a 10 or 11 win team. We just won't be beating teams 56-3 anymore, like we did last year. We're going to have to grind out every win.

Well, looks like I have been a bit off, so I thought I would make some adjustments, and throw it back out for input once again.

1 Sun, Sep 7 Kansas City 1:00 PM Won 17-10
2 Sun, Sep 14 at NY Jets 4:15 PM Won 19-10
3 Sun, Sep 21 Miami 1:00 PM Lost 38-13
5 Sun, Oct 5 at San Francisco 4:15 PM Won 30-21
6 Sun, Oct 12 at San Diego 8:15 PM Lost 30-10
7 Mon, Oct 20 Denver 8:30 PM Won 41-7
8 Sun, Oct 26 St. Louis 1:00 PM Win 35-21
9 Sun, Nov 2 at Indianapolis 8:15 PM Win 24-14
10 Sun, Nov 9 Buffalo 1:00 PM Lose 28-17
11 Thu, Nov 13 NY Jets 8:15 PM Win 27-24
12 Sun, Nov 23 at Miami 1:00 PM Win 17-7
13 Sun, Nov 30 Pittsburgh 4:15 PM Lose 28-14
14 Sun, Dec 7 at Seattle 8:15 PM Win 27-10
15 Sun, Dec 14 at Oakland 4:15 PM Win 31-14
16 Sun, Dec 21 Arizona 1:00 PM Win 21-17
17 Sun, Dec 28 at Buffalo 1:00 PM Lose 34-21

I said it after Brady's injury first happened, and I will say it again: this is still a playoff team. I predicted 11-5 at the time, and that record is still feasible. I say that they finish 9-7 at the worst, and 11-5 at the best.

Patsfan56

Here is the updates list, and it's either 11-5 or no playoffs, so what the hell, I am still going for the 11-5 record.

1 Sun, Sep 7 Kansas City 1:00 PM Won 17-10
2 Sun, Sep 14 at NY Jets 4:15 PM Won 19-10
3 Sun, Sep 21 Miami 1:00 PM Lost 38-13
5 Sun, Oct 5 at San Francisco 4:15 PM Won 30-21
6 Sun, Oct 12 at San Diego 8:15 PM Lost 30-10
7 Mon, Oct 20 Denver 8:30 PM Won 41-7
8 Sun, Oct 26 St. Louis 1:00 PM Won 23-16
9 Sun, Nov 2 at Indianapolis 8:15 PM Lost 18-15
10 Sun, Nov 9 Buffalo 1:00 PM Won 20-10
11 Thu, Nov 13 NY Jets 8:15 PM Lost 34-31:mad:
12 Sun, Nov 23 at Miami 1:00 PM Won 48-28
13 Sun, Nov 30 Pittsburgh 4:15 PM Lost 33-10
14 Sun, Dec 7 at Seattle 8:15 PM Won 24-21
15 Sun, Dec 14 at Oakland 4:15 PM Win 34-24
16 Sun, Dec 21 Arizona 1:00 PM Win 31-28
17 Sun, Dec 28 at Buffalo 1:00 PM Win 31-24

My thought here is the defense is not going to shut anyone down, so the offense and ST will need to step it up a notch or two, and we will need to help ourselves with an extra turnover or two in these lat three games to pull this off.
