What ever happend to Bill Musgrave? Is he still working for the broncos? I think he would be a good offensive coordinator for the 49ers. He was in the 49ers system playing under shanahan when shanahan was the OC in san fran, and he played for shanahan in denver also . He should do a pretty good job as an OC, like jason garrett has done in dallas, and maybe he could even bring back the westcoast offense. Just a thought!!

i created this thread over a year ago and no response...and im tellin u guys, bill musgrave needs to be on our staff in some way, and he potentially can be our OC of the future who has west coast ties....i felt this way long ago, and saw this article earlier today that said our search needs to start with him....he could very well be our Jason Garrett...minus the self-centered players like T.O.

yeah im kind of thinking he can be an OC also, if not now, atleast in a couple of years...i was reading one of matt maiocco's articles earlier and he made mention of musgrave also...i would love to have the guy on our staff...this is what maiocco had to say

"But the offensive coordinators are, in all likelihood, going to be off-limits. Why would any offensive coordinator on a playoff team leave his post to become O.C. of the 49ers? Also, teams do not have to give permission for any coach to interview for another job - other than head coach."

"Teams generally allow position coaches to leave to become offensive coordinators, though. The most likely scenario is a QBs coach becoming a coordinator. If that's the case, the best candidate might already be out of the playoffs. Atlanta QBs coach Bill Musgrave's team was knocked out on the opening week."

I like the idea of signing Musgrave a lot.

I'm not sure if he fits with Singletary's philosophy. I wouldn't mind him getting an interview though.

The thing is, does musgrave want to stay with a team that has a franchise quarterback or go to a team who doesn't know who the starter will be next year
