Pick 2 prospects, thats in another teams organization that you want in your favorite teams organization. Two guidelines, pick 1 position player and one pitcher, and pick players that havent had any MLB experience. They can be any age or any level in the monors.

My Picks
Position Player- OF Jay Bruce from the Reds Organization, hes hitting .320, with 25 hr's and 88 RBI's in 509 ab's in the minors this year between 3 levels and hasnt posted a OPS less than .927 at any level

Pitcher- Clayton Kershaw from the Dodgers organization, 2.81 era, 159 so's and 64 walks, in 118.2 inn pitched between two levels of pro ball

JoshJones08

Position Player: Josh Vitters
Seen him play, dudes got MAJOR skills

Pitcher: Franklin Morales, has 2 ML Starts but he's still a prospect. Amazing all around stuff and the stats to prove it

12-01-2007, 08:06 PM
Kershaw should be the pitcher on basically everyones lists since Joba, Hughes, Buchholz, Morales, and all those guys are in the league already

i think the guy i would want would be Alcides Escobar...hell be like a 10 time gold glover...hes awesome on D and his bat is developing into something really nice but the best guy outside of my organization is Bruce

GrkGawdofWalkz
12-02-2007, 10:20 AM
I would definitely have to go Maybin. I think that kid is amazing. But I also love Longoria, and Moustakas.

My Pitcher would be Porcello slightly above Jacob McGee and Wade Davis.

Best in baseball? it's good but hardly the best. A few of them guys are severly overrated by Yankee fans. It's top 10, maybe top 5, but not the best.

Can anyone tell me when the players actually get officially assigned to their minor league ball clubs for the 2008 season?? I'll be very interested to see where Kershaw and Snider go. Those r my 2 picks also!

Pitcher.....Clayton Kershaw (Dodgers)
Outfielder.....Travis Snider (Blue Jays)

I think its a week before Spring Training ends, or when it actually ends. But i read somewhere that Snider WILL begin at AA, and i think the same goes for Kershaw, but wouldn't be surprised to see him in AAA or the majors sometime soon:(.

Thanks. Last year in Single "A," I got to see both of them play and they showed true signs of their abiltiies. It should be fun to watch how they will progress this year. After one of the games, Snider gave me his game-used broken bat and signed it. Any idea how much that is worth?

You might like what Joe Torre says about Kershaw.

He said the Dodgers were "not really looking at that" when asked if Kershaw was competing for the fifth-starter spot, although Torre didn't say no, either. He said the No. 1 priority is Kershaw's "well-being," but acknowledged that "you never know for sure the best way to proceed."\

Here's the rest of the article
http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080309&content_id=356066&vkey=news_milb&fext=.jsp

And the Snider should bring you in a pretty penny, but then again, you need to have it authenticated to get top $$.
