New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles July 9 - 11 IGT

New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles
Monday, July 9, 4:05 PM ET , Oriole Park at Camden Yards

    CC Sabathia, LHP

Sabathia is expected to take the ball for the first game of the doubleheader vs. the Orioles. The veteran is coming off a win over the Braves in which he allowed two runs over six innings. He last faced the O's on April 6, taking a no-decision.

    Jimmy Yacabonis, RHP

Yacabonis will be recalled from Norfolk to start the first game, a makeup of May 31. Yacabonis has an 8.53 ERA in three big league outings, including a four-inning start June 28 when he allowed two runs in a no-decision against Seattle.

New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles
Monday, July 9, TBD , Oriole Park at Camden Yards

    Luis Cessa, RHP

Cessa will return to the roster for the second game of the doubleheader. He last started on June 27 at Philadelphia, taking a loss after throwing 74 pitches over three innings of three-run, five-hit ball.

    Yefry Ramirez, RHP

Ramirez will make his third career start in the nightcap. He has a 2.51 ERA over 14 1/3 innings, including a five-inning, scoreless relief appearance. In his last start, Ramirez allowed two runs (one earned) in five innings in a loss to the Phillies.

New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles
Tuesday, July 10, 7:05 PM ET , Oriole Park at Camden Yards

    Masahiro Tanaka, RHP

Tanaka is expected to be activated from the disabled list to start on Tuesday at Baltimore, coming off a five-inning, 69-pitch rehab start at Triple-A on July 4. Tanaka sustained strains of both hamstrings running the bases on June 8 vs. the Mets.

    Andrew Cashner, RHP

The right-hander has five quality starts in his last six outings, but is 0-3 in that span as he suffers from the third-worst run support of any pitcher in the Majors. He holds a 3.18 ERA over his last six starts.

New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles
Wednesday, July 11, 7:05 PM ET , Oriole Park at Camden Yards

    Sonny Gray, RHP

Gray has lost three consecutive starts, permitting 15 runs and 19 hits over 11 innings (12.27 ERA) to the Rays, Red Sox and Blue Jays. He last faced the O's on June 1, picking up the win with six innings of one-run ball.

    Dylan Bundy, RHP

Bundy struggled with his command in his first start off the disabled list on July 6. He was tagged for six runs, five earned, in 3 1/3 innings in a loss to Minnesota. Prior to the DL, Bundy was 3-0 with a 1.98 ERA in four June starts.

How can we sweep with Sonny startin?????

He even said that he ruins the Yankees chances of winning games.

Call up a AA starter and we win easily.....Sonny will make Chris Davis have a career day and probably 2 more O’s players as well....

Anything less than a 4 game sweep is a huge disappointment.

How would you like to have Chris Davis, his salary and beautiful production....He is just as bad as Ellsbury except he plays.....one of the worst contracts ever....

Not a terrible lineup just terrible pitching for Buck....Just think back a few years ago when Buck’s Birds were baseball’s darlings.....what a fall!

Buck is experiencing now what the Yankees did in 89-91.....Now he knows what he was trying to fix when he first arrived after he replaced Stump.....

gray will pitch vs bad teams gives us a chance to skip him vs the good ones. when loisiga comes back I would let him take gray spot and move gray or trade him for an old playboy magazine with sticky pages

    Yankees PR Dept.

Prior to today’s doubleheader, the Yankees appointed RHP Giovanny Gallegos (#61) as their “26th Man.

when they say '' you never have enough pitching '' they are right
