I want Benny in the all star game as well. I know 6 all stars is getting greedy.

Scooter and Javy are nearly identical offensively and Javy leads him in WAR

Realmuto is better than Contreras but Marlins fans are practically non-existent

Rosario deserves it more...and shouldn't have had to wait for any final vote to get there

Machado over Lindor is suspect too IMO
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

Stat wise its back and forth, with Rosario with a lead. But its probably going to be between Stanton and Benintendi, because of the two large markets. And if thats the case Benny is more deserving than Stanton. He leads Stanton in every catagory besides striking out and HRs. Its easy to hit home runs when they bring in RF for you.

Very true. Neither has a bunch of homers stuffing the ballot box though.

you say that like it's just fine that large markets have the edge even here...not enough that they skew who starts

I had no idea that Lindor was already over 5 WAR. When they were in Baltimore, he was hitting well below .250 and their offense was scuffling as a whole. And Lindor is the complete SS. While their numbers compare at a glance offensively, DRS has Machado on pace for one of the worst defensive seasons ever. Machado's my guy (though not for long) and I agree that Lindor should probably be starting over him.

The Dodgers have been well-represented in recent years, so I'm OK with only Kemp and Jansen making the team.

    Future Hall of Shamers:
    (1) B.A.L.C.O. Barroids (2) Mark McJuicer (3) Jose Chem-seco (4) Rafael Palmeiroids (5) Ken Chem-initi (6) Jason Gi-andro (7) Ryan Fraud (8) Muscle Melk (9) Woman-Ram (10) Shammy Sosa (11) Roger Clear-mens (12) A-Roid (13) Ryan HGHoward

Realmuto has had the better season. I'd not argue there. Contreras should probably be the reserve there.

When it comes to Scooter being ">>>" over Javy, you're wrong. Nearly identical offensive numbers, and Baez leads both in defense and baserunning. If you said "Javy = Gennett" that'd be fair. But saying he's ">>>" is wrong.

Well at least Machado's starting ... A lone bright spot in this disasterous year. Also F*k the Royals.
