    Free Agents 2019

Aside from Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, neither of whom the Mets will sign the following are free agents next year unless they resign before free agency and who the Mets should look at.

    Michael Brantly
    Dave Robertson
    Craig Kimbrel
    Kelvin Herrera
    Gio Gonzalez
    Andrew Miller
    Daniel Murphy
    Adam Jones
    Dallas Keuchel
    Brad Brach
    Patrick Corbin
    Craig Allen
    D.J. LeMathieu

The problem is that most of them are pitchers alkthough Brantly if he could stay healthy, Jones and LeMathieu, would be quite attractive . Maybe even Murphy but he will be 34 and coming off knee surgery, or Donaldson who is having a down year.

That said, based on recent history, the Mets will sign none of them . !!!

Michael Brantley because you know he is always hurt, would fit right in.

Adam Jones would fit in as an old, regressing fart.

Outside of Miller, Harper or Machado there isn't a reliever I would want.

I would take Andrew Miller or Kimbrel but the Mets won't invest real money into a reliever.

Machado and Harper are pipe dreams.

The Mets need to rebuild their bullpen in the offseason and figure out C & 2B.

I'd target Grandal & Cody Allen. TDA & Mesoraco haven't proven themselves and Nido is not ready, nor do we have other minor league options. Plaw will be fine as the back-up as he's under control for a while.

    Free Agents 2019

I would target starting pitchers to make our most tradable assets easier to deal.

Or, Id go all in on a big bat to go for it for 1 year and at least have that asset to be able to trade should things fall apart.

How many years of bargain basement FA shopping do we have to endure for the FO and owners to realize it pays absolutely no dividends?

Sorry about the unreadable aspect of it, just lifted it from fangraphs and pasted it. It came out kinda whacky.

I will work on a complete list that is more comprehensive and understandable. I was just posting that to show there were a lot more free agents than the post said there was.
