Mets starting pitchers the past 20 games: 2.47 ERA. Thatís the best mark in the majors. The Mets are 5-15 in that span.

With a modicum of hitting it does. Not so much with no hitting.

If Nimmo qualified, he would have the highest OPS for NL outfielders and the 2nd highest OPS in the NL after Freeman. He should really be an all-star this season.

Unrelated, I really wish we went all in for JD Martinez instead of Bruce. Dude is killing it and would have carried the offense with Cespedes on the DL as usual.

Boston is a perfect situation for a guy like Martinez. RH hitter who can DH almost everyday (negating his crappy defense) and he can abuse the green monster 81 games a year. It wasn't happening because the Mets dont give out 100+ million dollar contracts on the reg and they are still somewhat high on Smith and even more so now on Alonso.

If Bruce was having even a typical Bruce year, no one would be *****ing but he's been so bad, that it just heightens everything else that has gone wrong.

A.J. Ramos may have shoulder surgery

Another one bites the dust. This franchise is under the curse of Sisyphus.

Yeah but this would be a case of addition by subtraction. Ramos is garbage and anything that keeps him off the mound should be celebrated.

He has been garbage. No argument from me otherwise. The question is why has he been garbage? It could be an injury. Either way he's going to be done for the season and a free agent in October.

He might take a cheap flier next year so you know the Mets will have depth!

Alderson did a great job scouting and acquiring Ramos by giving up a decent prospect.

    Don't worry. He's got this.
