    SERIES PREVIEW

    Will win if ...

Capitals: Win the special-teams battle and physically dominate the Golden Knights the way they did the Lightning late in the Eastern Conference Final. The Golden Knights are the best penalty-killing team they have faced and are not shy about using the body to dictate the way the game is played.

Golden Knights: Find some depth scoring and show some discipline. The top two scoring lines for Vegas have 25 goals, the rest of the forwards have 10. A second-tier forward is going to have to get hot. As for discipline, the Golden Knights know how dangerous Ovechkin and Carlson are on the power play.

I have never been a fan of Ovechkin, but the hockey purest in me wants to see him lift the Stanley Cup. Aside from him, Oshie has been one of my favorite players in the league since he debuted in St. Louis. For those reasons, I hope the Capitals win it.

1,003 in the regular season. 116 in the playoffs. That's the number of games that Ovechkin has played to finally get the chance to play for the Stanley Cup. If he doesn't have the series of his life, I'll be massively disappointed. Capitals in 7.

Vegas will lose, Winnipeg was very young offensively and in net, it wasn't their time.

If Vegas pulls off a miracle and wins what will you say then?

Probably blame the refs like everyone else does when it doesn't go their way

The sweep was sarcastic, although I did believe Winnipeg would prevail.

Hellebuyck choked, Fluery didn't and won't

    Vegas dictated momentum (experience)

Vegas is very good because of depth, they won't have the holes is the lineup that other teams have.

But Holtby isn't Hellebuyck, the league's top offense was shutout in games 6 and 7.
The capitals jump on teams early (experience) and they've got depth (Burakovsky 2 goals Game7).
