Purely speculative but I'll guess he wasn't juicing until this or recent season(s), just trying to cheat the still undefeated father time.

    What a career to taint.

That fractured hand was probably going to keep him out a couple of months anyway so its not a huge loss besides the lost pay.

Which when you're making 240 million dollars, whats 12 million bucks right?

Apparently what he got busted for is not a PED though. He got caught with Furosemide in his system which is a diuretic.

Its not a PED, but apparently MLB was able to prove it was being used as a possible masking agent for another drug:

He can serve his suspension while on the DL? That hardly seems fair. Suspension should start once he's healthy enough to play in games again.

Sounds like he was suspended for taking a drug to mask PEDs

    Lol

Thats what i was thinking. Pretty sure the suspension begins once he comes off the DL. Something similar happened to Manny like 4-5 years ago

Suspension is effective immediately. Rosenthal and Heyman are saying it starts now, even if he's on the DL.

Ya that was confusing. I was like that **** is for water retention. Then I read that MLB was able to produce the intent of the usage and he dropped the appeal. Sucks, but he's def. doing the right thing by just bowing out of this one although I am sure more will come out to counter what his statements made seeing as he never mentioned that this was a failed test he actually did appeal. His statement made is seem like he never appealed it.

Same with Arod, he was suspended for 200ish games while injured, then appealed and was able to finish out that season playing once he was healthy, before it was reduced to 162 games and he missed the next season.
Probably different bc he appealed though.

If you are on the DL, suspension time doesn't count, right?
