Pats now have an extra 2nd next year and project to get 2 compensatory 3rd rounders as well. So they're stocking up to be able to have a lot of flexibility again next year for trades.

With Brady's window closing I would have liked to use the pick a year earlier but I get it. The 4th round has some intriguing options for us at SS (heir apparent to Chung) and LB (situational coverage guy) so I like getting some extra picks there. Still have #63 too of course.

They better trade those picks, heard next year’s draft class might be one of the worst

Any chance he just didn't like any of the QB's this year and is gearing up for a big jump next year?

Goedert is from my home town in SD.....as well as my brother, the Eagles fan who also graduated from SDSU....he's likely not seen this yet (lives in Honolulu) but he'll be ECSTATIC....especially when he finds they jumped the Witten-less boys to do it

Well next years class is shaping up to be miserable, so I hope so.

If they pick another OL in the 3rd or 4th they are going to be a completely different looking offense next year and scary good.

Wow surprising pick for NE. I think Duke Dawson is gonna be a day 1 starter in the slot but not sure this is a good spot for him. Generally NE judges the board well though.
