    Scouting Report:
Giants: Stratton earned the win in his last outing despite struggling with command, as he held the Dodgers to four hits and two earned runs in five innings with four walks. Stratton is 1-1 with a 6.43 ERA in two career appearances against the Padres.

Padres: In his second Padres start, Mitchell was much better than his first, holding the Astros scoreless over 5 2/3 innings. He only struck out one, but he induced a lot of weak contact. Mitchell has never faced the Giants in his career.

    Game 2: Friday, April 13th @ 7:10 PM

    VS.
    Ty Blach..........Tyson Ross

                                 8 BB's 3

    Scouting Report:
Giants: Blach pitched effectively against the Dodgers on April 8, allowing one run on four hits through six innings, but he didn’t factor into the decision as the Giants’ bats fell quiet against Clayton Kershaw.

Padres: Ross has gone six innings in both of his starts this season, allowing four runs on six hits and no walks while striking out seven in a loss at Houston on Sunday. All four runs were yielded on a pair of homers.

    Game 3: Saturday, April 14 @ 5:40 PM

    VS.
    Derek Holland......Clayton Richard

    Code:

                                 4 BB's 7
    Scouting Report:
Giants: Holland lost a very effective but tough outing against the D-backs on April 9, in which he allowed two runs in the first but only allowed one baserunner in his final five innings. He struck out eight and walked one.

Padres: Richard gave a gutsy performance Monday at Coors Field, taming the hitters' paradise and launching a decisive three-run homer in the 7-6 win. He gave up four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three.

    Game 4: Sunday, April 15th @ 1:10 PM

    VS.
    Tyler Beede......Joey Lucchesi

    Code:
                                Beede Lucchesi
                                 1 Starts 3

                                2.00 WHIP 1.02
                                 4.0 IP 15.2
                                 3 K's 16
                                 5 BB's 4
    Scouting Report:
Giants: Beede earned his first callup due to the rash of injuries afflicting the Giants’ rotation, but he couldn’t establish a feel for the strike zone in his debut on April 10, in which he walked five Arizona hitters and was pulled after four innings.

Padres: Lucchesi had a brilliant six-inning outing at Coors Field, earning his first win while allowing two unearned runs with four hits, a walk and eight strikeouts. He relied heavily on his "churve," a combination changeup and curveball.

Wasn't it Jonathan Sanchez who called out the Padres sometime during the second half of that season?

If I remember correctly, I think he guaranteed a sweep.

I hope they find more ways to get Belt in the lineup even if he doesn't play 1B. He shouldn't be the one that sits to get Posey out of the squat.

I'm not sure I could name 3 players for the Padres. That franchise seems to be spiraling the drain.

Hosmer, Carlos Asuaje, Manuel Margot, Clayton Richard, Wil Myers, Austin Hedges, Luis Perdomo. That's all I got off the top of my head.

I have a feeling Belt's going to get lots of days off against LHPs. Bochy gonna Boch.

His stats against lefties get even more ridiculous if you get rid of his 58 PAs against the best LHP of this generation.
