Like what kind of major or minor league talent?

He's mentioned it once before a few years ago, I think at an all-star game, plus being from Vegas, L.A. is one of the closest cities he could play for and still be close to home.

    Can you imagine?

    1. Cosart - 2B
    2. Ohtani - DH
    3. Trout - CF
    4. Harper - RF
    5. Upton - LF
    6. Pujols - 1B
    7. Simmons - SS
    8. Valbuena - 3B
    9. Maldonado - C

Pujols DH's on Ohtani's off days.

That outfield is on another level.

any lineup that inserts Harper in the 4 spot just became one of the best in baseball though.

Yankees are fun to fantasize about too

    1. Gregorious - SS
    2. Judge - LF
    3. Harper - CF
    4. Stanton - RF
    5. Bird - 1B
    6. Sanchez - C
    7. Austin - DH
    8. Wade/Walker - 2B
    9. Andujar/Torres - 3B

Maybe by the numbers, but one of the biggest reasons Trout isnt more marketable is the team he plays for.

If he came up through the Dodgers, Cubs, Yankees, Boston, hell even Toronto.....Trout would be 10x as matketable.
He's just not that kind of guy. There's loads of money to be made through marketing for Harper with the Angels. But your a Nats fan so I get it. I feel the same way when star players leave my team.

I would put a lineup like:

    Trout
    Harper
    Upton
    Ohtani
    Cosart
    Valbuena
    Simmons
    Pujols
    Maldonado

Potentially 5 20MM+ annual salaries in the lineup alone

Which is the bigger fantasy, Harper in CF or Bird actually being counted on to play 1B?

Bryce Harper Best Fits in Free Agency

Ima go w Boston. They seem like a dark horse here but their ownership is not afraid of contracts - and they once had Arod in the bag before the deal was squashed by the commish. Plus Ramirez’s contract expires in one more season and Martinez is only signed for 4.

Yeah my bad. For some reason, I keep thinking that the Angels are still paying Josh Hamilton.

We can go 6 12MM+ if we include Cosart and Simmons lol

    Aaron Judge -LF-
    Bryce Harper -RF-
    Giancarlo Stanton -DH-
    Manny Machado -3B-
    Didi Gregorius -SS-
    Gary Sanchez -C-
    Greg Bird -1B-
    Gleyber Torres -2B-
    Aaron Hicks -CF-

That's the fantasy plan for Yankees fans.
