    Interesting that Doobie isn't there.

Looked at the numbers and Herrera is atrocious against Tehreran, so I can understand the decision.
    BUT.....Ummmm

Harry, I grew up with the phillies and learned the game by your voice. You will always be missed but never forgotten. Though you are no longer with us, you'll never be "outta here" in our hearts!

Nola looked good, hope it's only because it's game 1 that Gabe only let him go 68 pitches. I get the whole 3rd time through the lineup, but we don't have the bp to keep up with that the whole season for all five of our starters.

Let's put this one away boys

What a disappointing lost to open the season with a big lead late.

Apparently we don't have bp to keep up with that for 1 game. Ugh!

Not understanding why he was pulled after 68 pitches...?

Welcome to the wonderful World of Analytics. Supposedly Nola gets worse when a team sees him for the third time in a game. To me its all BS because usually the third time around the pitcher is around 100....not 70. Nola's arm was still fresh enough, in my eye, to go another inning or two before you take your chances with the bullpen from hell.

Yup, it was a bad move to take him out after 68 pitches. Not only did he only have 68 pitches but there were very few hard hit balls and there were no major stress pitch innings. Let him finish the inning at least and potential save the lefty if they need him later. Not to mention, if Kapler was planning on a quick hook that inning why not pinch hit for him with guys on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs the last inning? It's not Monday morning quarterbacking or complaining because they lost, I would be complaining if they won and said it was a bad move the moment it happened.

That said I am not going to judge Kapler off of one performance because that would be completely insane. He will continue to improve and look forward to seeing his growth as a manger.
